When times are hard and you have to survive any food will do! Temperatures were -5 and the grey wagtail was struggling to find its usual insect prey. I watched this bird fishing for small fish that it caught several of! AMAZING!
When ever I was in the Bangor area I would always to swing by Northern Me Jct to see what might be around. BL-2 #50 was the only locomotive on the whiskers today .
When it comes to a gamer girls needs BackBone has it all. Their two newest releases are amazing but personally I think they work best together. The Media Center now at Belle comes with a media enabled tv, the stand and speakers. The speakers can be black, white, or pink to fit into all of your favorite spaces. The Wall Mount Game Rack comes in white or black. With the gamer anthem eat sleep play repeat. this wall mount has a gaming console, controllers and games so you can show off to all your friends. The Wall Mount Game Rack is a must have and can be found at The Mens Department.
"....When Autumn comes and Summer goes.
So when the leaves begin to change
I find it sad but never strange..."
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

...Yesterday, in a rainy afternoon. Picture taken at a square near home. :)
When we saw the mottled light, we knew exactly where we needed to be. This was not our first trip to the rodeo.
Captured during one of our "adventure series" workshops in a remote area of Death Valley National Park, March 2022. Although camping is required and sturdy tires are advised, no camping experience is necessary and we can help you find and rent a vehicle appropriate for the journey (no "four wheeling" experience necessary... most of the roads we'll travel are unpaved, but generally not particularly rough).
We're looking at adding a more black and white focused workshop January 10-15, 2024. Our adventure series workshop to Death Valley is scheduled for March 10-15, 2024.

This winged lion represents Saint Mark the Evangelist, patron of Venice, in the statue outside of the Venetian resort in Las Vegas. As the sky darkened it was turning very strange shades of purplish blue. Here's a companion photo taken earlier that same day: flic.kr/p/2ozEYV6.

When in Old Montreal, Canada, it feels like you are in Europe. Lots of great restaurants and art galleries here.

When a sunrise steals your breath, say nothing. Just close your eyes and think about it.

When the sun dropped and lay like a golden ball, in that light every branch of the tree drew up high and pointed.
I wrote you letters, kept them neat,
In drawers where old regrets repeat.
I should have called, I should have stayed—
But silence grew, and plans decayed.
The clock hands mock my futile wait,
You’re gone, and now… it’s all too late.

Age creeps up on all of us. Don't hesitate do it now.
Before it's all too late.

This is what we woke up to on the day before we came home - it rained so hard that the pool overflowed.
When and where and only if
seen and captured
in its essence and soul,
by the eye or better by the camera
there is the chance to share.
This is a hill near my house... when I was little, this hill had a bump about a third of the way down the slope. Every time my mom would load the car up with kids to drive us to the pool, in the summertime, she would go down this hill, and when the car would go over that smooth bump and then whoosh on down the hill, it would give us a little "roller coaster" feeling, which we called a "whoopsie!".
In later years they removed the bump in the hill, because kids were making their cars take flight by speeding over the bump... and wrecking their cars, and getting hurt. So, no more "whoopsie"!
I have always thought it was a beautiful spot. The park is on one side, and some farms which never gave way to the encroaching city are on the other side. Thus, the wooden fence.
So, Happy Fenced Friday, everyone!
Candid street photography can be easily misinterpreted - - -
A polite smile and a wave - and be prepared to run.
In reality most shots like this from the hip and at a distance are not even noticed. Those that do notice are more often just looking at an odd old guy with white hair, the camera is unobtrusive unless you lift it and use the viewfinder.

Founded at a time when photography was only beginning to secure a foothold both in museum collections and in the art market at large, A Gallery for Fine Photography is a living landmark in the history of photography. Located in the Historic New Orleans French Quarter, A Gallery opened its doors in 1973, a world away from the cornerstones of the global contemporary art scene. Thanks to the staunchly independent vision of its founder, Joshua Mann Pailet, A Gallery has remained a haven for photography, from the earliest photographs to contemporary pieces. Over more than four decades in business, A Gallery for Fine Photography has established itself as one of the most respected photography galleries in America – one that has flourished despite an ever-changing art world by remaining true to itself and Pailet’s unique perspective.
Joshua Mann Pailet is a documentary photographer and gallerist who has been one of the most significant figures of the photography community in his native New Orleans for forty-five years.
