A buttweld fitting is a weldable pipe fitting that can change flow direction, branch off, reduce size or connect auxiliary equipment. Butt weld fittings include elbow, tee, reducer, cap and cross. These fittings are the most common type of welded pipe fitting and are specified by nominal pipe size and pipe schedule. The raw materials of butt welded pipe fittings are seamless pipe, welded pipe, forged pipe(high pressure) and steel plate. The forming processes of butt weld fittings is as follow:Extrusion moulding, hot pressing, cold machining, hot machining, welded, heat treatment. Huashang Steel is one of the best buttweld fittings suppliers from China.
Butt Weld Fittings Manufacture Specification:
ASME / ANSI B16.9, JIS B 2311/2220, DIN2605 / 2616/2615, EN10253, MSS SP-43 / SP-75, GOST 17375/17376/17378/17379
I think this man made a good living as Cubans are masters in 'keeping things going'
Just on the street, in front of his collection of 'possible sometime reusable iron'.

We got some custom storage boxes fitted to our truck, and I thought the welding was a great opportunity to play with the light.

This welding process, also known as welding a group of processes that uses heat released by a exothermic reaction to enable welding.
The exotherm of the reduction of a metal oxide is used as a source of energy for welding.
The oxides used are those that have a low heat of formation, while the reducing agents are those that have high heat formation.
The ends of the components to be soldered are placed
Inside a mold, specially constructed for the parts to be
welded.
In the case of welding cables or electrical connections, a Carbon-bonded graphite crucible; In the crucible that interconnects with the mold is placed the metal oxide (which will be reduced to pure element) and aluminum which is the reducing agent.
Steel produced in a refractory crucible, the
temperatures above 2000 ° C, is carried to the tops of
Rails, dissolving them and joining them homogeneously.
After 4 to 5 minutes the formers are removed and the surplus material is deburred. after the the weld is ground to reproduce the rail profile.
We spent the morning trying to get our first set of shade posts to
align well. After some clamping and screaming we managed to get
something within reason and I did a few tack welds to hold it together
long enough to grind off the paint in the weld zone.
This pneumatic rocker arm type spot welding machine is heavily fabricated with streamlined appearance, suitably stiffened at points of stress. The transformer is mounted directly on to the body and the bearings for the arm are provided in the same. Electrodes, electrode holders water cooled, water required to be free from residue forming impurities and at a temperature of less than 30 degree c. If water temperature is higher, increased water flow is required. - www.atcomaart.com/pd/49655755564857515166/spot-welders/sp...
Leather aprons for welding are usually made of cowhide leather, have integrated pockets for tools, and can come coated with a fire proofing surface treatment to help protect against heat and flames. Leather Welding Apron heavy cowhide helps protect against sparks, spatter, slags, and some flames that are encountered during welding work.
Work aprons carry with themselves a centuries-old legacy of beneficial contribution to trade work. Practicality combined with personal style; and out emerges the finest in the field of custom leather aprons; our classy Branded Leather Apron. Over the years, the classic Welding Apron has been redefined continuously to resonate with the fashion trends of the time. However, throughout this process, the fundamental structure has remained true to the tradition.
...has had one slam too many. Chuh!!
The spot weld has popped open and the bent metal support behind the two allen headed bolts has split. Of course in the last 25 odd years these bolts are now fused so solid that they will distort the frame rather than let go.....
Sooooo lets just weld it up solid and hope that a little bit of reglage at the handle end will let the door open and close as before.
Happly the prince of reglage is due to visit....
