WEEK 30
Artistic: Family
In the last challenge you shot a family portrait. This time use family as your inspiration. Since this is the advanced challenge no people can be in the image.

This was a friends daughter chasing bubbles during an event at our VBS. What says "summer" more than kids playing outdoors in the sun? Short of beach shots, that is. I don't think we're making it to the shore in time for this weeks theme so this will have to do.

I hit 37 weeks today, so I thought a bump photo was in order. Now I just need to make sure I go into labour sometime in the next 5 weeks so I get a shot at the home birth I'd like... fingers crossed!
Definitely think bump has dropped a bit in the last day or two, and midwife said on Wednesday that Nugget's head was 'well down' so fingers crossed eh!

For week 4, I took a headshot of my brother! I used my 135mm FD mount lens, and it proved to be wonderful once again. My brother was a good sport for putting up with me!
Bison traffic jam in Yellowstone. I tried some other group shots this week, but none worked quite as well as this one from recent vacation. I used it as an excuse to explore LR 5 features obtained after the trip.

Watauga Presbyterian Church, founded as Willow Springs Cumberland Prebyterian Church in the 1850s and reorganized in 1867, then renamed Watauga Presbyterian Church in 1896.
Outside the frontier church stands an historical marker naming the courageous families who founded the church when there was nothing but acres of prairie land. Along side of it sits the old farm bell donated by descents of the Keating family, one of the first handful of pioneers to settle in Watauga. On Sundays, the iron bell can be heard clanging as the current youngsters at the church take turns pulling and tugging on its handle to remind neighbors that the preacher has arrived.
The spirit of this frontier church has continuously served this community for approximately 130 years. Services are still held at 9 a.m. every Sunday.
