I love playing golf. It is so peaceful, especially when I have the course all to myself. I can play at my own pace and I can enjoy the surroundings. Panorama of the 15th hole at Hylands.

A few months ago, I was invited to speak to the Stanford Photography Club. The talk finally happened tonight. I had some doubts about myself and was nervous going in, but I'm really happy with how it went and proud of myself for successfully giving my first formal-ish talk on photography.
Thanks again for having me, guys. I had fun meeting you all and hope to catch you around online, if not again in person. Also, many thanks for dinner!

Simple, lazy 52 weeks image this week, as I'm too over-extended and sleep-deprived for anything else tonight and won't have any time later in the week, either. The school year is ending, photo assignments are piling up, and random projects like this talk are taking precedence over sleep this week.

My first Packer game in over 12 years. 2 weeks ago I went to a conference for Fuel Up To Play 60 advisors, and won a pair of Packer tickets. Yay me! Eric drove up from Milwaukee and went to the game with me. It was great spending some time with him. This is a panoramic shot taken with my Iphone just before the game. I didn't realize until now that I also got Eric in the shot on the right side <3. Take 36 of 52 belongs to the Packers.
Last friday I had my admission on an art academies, sadly I was rejected. I'm a bit sad about it but when I was there I already knew that I wouldn't pass by seeing the work of students there. My photography style is way different compaired to the students there so I was just at the wrong place, I guess. I'm not going to give up, I will keep trying at other art academies.
(The photo above is my 'idea notebook' or whatever it is. And I got myself some new shoes after I heard that I got rejected.)

its holy week.
i'll be trying my best to observe holy week and refrain from using the computer too much.
today was the blessing of my parish's new Holy Family Center! for 7 years, we have been raising money to build a second place to hold masses. we have one Catholic church here in tracy, and every Sunday, SO many people are standing and not sitting as we worship. the holy family center was built on the opposite side of town as the church. in a few more years, they will build another church b/c the center is only a hall, like a gym. its temporary until the actual church (with baptismal font, pews, statues and all) idk if that makes sense. haha. anyways, we parishoners at St. Brenards are all very happy to have a second place to worship so that people can actually sit during the masses.

Week #31 - Wildlife - Call of the loon. Knowing I was going north on the week-end, I hoped that the wildlife just north of Bancroft, Ontario would be obliging for the theme this week. This loon was particularly helpful as he took interest in me as I paddled by in the canoe.

This week, dear daughter, you started smiling in earnest, which makes mama and daddy feel SO good! You LOVE to stare at mama, too. Such great eye contact!
You're still pretty sure that not being held is the worst thing that could ever happen to you, but you'll sometimes accept being laid down on the bed on top of the giant cotton prefold, as long as mama or daddy is hovering over you.
You've been a hungry hippo this past week, thanks to some growth-spurt action. You're now officially over 11 pounds, and you've definitely gotten taller, too. You keep getting balder, though! We're so curious what your hair will look like when it comes back in.
We love you so much, baby girl!

This is the 1st image of my new project. I've decided to start off the new year with a new look ... a shaved head. It's something I've wanted to do for a while, but was too timid to follow thru with. It's different and a little strange for me to look at, but I like it a lot.
