Bring out the big tent – the circus is in town! Boys & Girls Nite Out is the annual highlight of Boys & Girls Club Week. The Club was transformed into a carnival with food and games like “Chicken in the Pot” and “Ring Toss” where hundreds of Club members (and the volunteers they're paired with) win prizes! Performers from Circus Circus Reno joined in the fun with their world-famous stage show.
I took this last Monday, as well as a bunch of others. I wished I could've gotten more color but everything is just very white right now, especially after we got about two feet of snow on Wednesday!
I have another version of this photo which I will post in comments once I figure out how to. I kind of like this desaturated version but I wish it was a bit more colorful considering my one from last week was completely black and white.
As soon as I saw that theme for the week, I knew that she had to be the subject. I have always thought she sparkles. Her joy and love of life radiates out in everything that she does. She is always up for a good time and can find the fun in any situation. She is pretty awesome.

Another week something-or-other, this was the day before Memorial Day, I'll figure out the actual number tomorrow.
Now the only week I still have to fill in is week twenty.

This one freaked me out... when I painted the hummer the first time, the colors were flat, garish and totally inappropriate for the muted background. I thought I'd wrecked the piece, but then tonight, I went in and painted over him with more muted tones and added shading, as well. Then I did as Paulette suggested and outlined some of his features with black water-based marker.
I like it a lot better now. :D

it's been a really slow week for photography, the only thing i did really was take photos of my baby cousin...next week i'm starting a series though so hopefully my stream will become more interesting cause it's been dead lately and i hate that.
NEW YORK -- Marines from Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force New York demonstrate a helicopter raid at Orchard Beach, Bronx, May 28. More than 3,000 Marines, Sailors and Coast Guardsmen will be in the area participating in community outreach events and equipment demonstrations. This is the 26th year New York City has hosted the sea services for Fleet Week.

I sat myself in the closet on a stool & waited with my camera for some noise. Boy, that didn't take long! Ha:)
Nobody's perfect. Once you accept the fact that you're not perfect, then you develop some confidence.
For week 9, I waited until my photography clubs long exposure/sparklers photo event. I took a bunch of portraits of people playing with their sparklers, but this one truly captured the joy of sparklers!
I can't remember much from this week.. I kind of wonder if I mixed up this week with week 43. Well, that happens if you don't upload your photo every week. *facepalm*
Anyway this is at my school and I saw this awesome V for Vendetta sticker on the stairs. :)
38 weeks pregnant at my baby shower- record breaking temps of 102 in April, I now know what it feels like to be a swollen pregnant lady in the summer..... thankfully the swollen face and over stuffed sausage feet were heat induced and only lasted the 4 day heat wave!
