Easy one for me this week as I often take pictures of our cat.
Tried a few times in different light and then this shot came up while I was making breakfast.

First visit to this location Clints quarry near Egremont spent a few hours stumbling around in the dark so think I'll have to go back in the day light for a proper look!!
Akubra is an Australian brand of bush hat, whose wide-brimmed styles are a distinctive part of the Australian culture, especially in rural areas. The name is believed to be derived from an Aboriginal word for head covering.
Akubra's best-known hats are made from rabbit fur felt with wide brims, and the term "Akubra" is sometimes used to refer to any hat of this kind. Many Akubras have drawstrings to help keep them on the wearer's head on windy days, as well as adding to the hat's appearance.
Akubra hats are an important part of traditional outdoor clothing in the Australian bush. They are often worn by farmers, graziers, horsemen and stockmen on the land. As well as protecting their wearers from sun and rain, they are used in less obvious ways: holding eggs or mushrooms, covering the eye of a recalcitrant horse, fanning fires and watering dogs. Week 09 - 26 February - 4 March
Well one of my bucket list shots is to do a concert shoot. And not just any concert, but a big arena/stadium venue kind of concert... sadly, most venues stop you from even using a phone to take a photo.
Why? I don't know. I mean it's not like anyone's going to make any money from the images; and even if you shoot a video and post it on youtube, other than further promoting the artiste, there isn't much benefit to the person who shot the video. And I don't think that I'm alone in thinking like this.
Anyway, this weeks shot is of the Foo Fighters, namely Dave. Got a new little canon point and shoot with an 18x zoom. I like it. Still would much rather be standing with my 80-200mm rather than sneaking my little Canon point and shoot. More next week.

The Weeks Bridge at Harvard. It's for pedestrians only and stretches across the Charles River from Harvard's main campus on the Cambridge side (here) to its business school campus on the Boston side.
The kickoff. Literally and metaphorically. I attended the Packers Vikings NFC Wildcard Playoff game last night at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. This picture is not taken from my seats, but the photographer in me knew that this perspective would be great for a picture. I snapped this pic just as the Vikings were kicking the ball off in the 2nd half. I saw this as a fitting picture to "kick off" the first week of the year, and the first week of this project.

Fleet Week 2015 San Francisco USS CORONADO.
The Coronado is a "littoral combat ship", designed to be fast, and able to sail in close to shore. It has a number of uses: landing men and vehicles on shore, launching helicopters, and doing anti-submarine and anti-mine operations. Designed especially to repel swarm boat attacks.
February 5-11
I shot 16 frames of film, and i've uploaded 4/16. It was raining and I was in the car while i shot this. I can remember telling my mom that even though the light was just about to turn green, she had to keep the car still because i really wanted this shot. It turned out really nice. I especially like the rain on the pavement and there is a a lot of faded color in the middle of the photo if you view in large.
As a consolation prize of having to wait a while for week 6, I've uploaded 3 other shots from that day.
Week 7's photo is just amazing and i love it. I'm too tired to upload it tonight, so i'll upload it tomorrow. :)
