The strong impacts of the Atlantic Ocean reaching the North Cornish Coast. Taken with a Canon EOS 400D Digital at Widemouth Bay, Cornwall, England.
Lenticular clouds, altocumulous lenticularis, formed in high winds, where laminar flows of air rise over a mountain and the drop in temperature causes water vapor to condense in layered clouds. These clouds are fairly common in the Eastern Sierra, often forming into long, linear "Sierra wave" formations parallel to and a few miles east of the Sierra Nevada.
I saw these clouds forming from my porch, so I headed down to the Lake to capture them evolving in a time-lapse sequence.
It was a slighty hazy when i take this pictures thus the colors are bit dull but i still like it :D

I was going through the archives for something to post, and came across this shot from a year ago. I had to check as I had got it into my head that it was actually two years ago as it seemed so long ago. Sadly it just goes to show it has been very long year.
Anyway, this is a reminder of an amazing morning watching nature in the raw down on the South Wales coast at Porthcawl. Huge waves driven by Storm Dennis came crashing in and then burst skywards as they hit the sea wall (the mole). To give you a sense of scale, the little lighthouse is about 30 feet high.
A rough day on Sunny Sands beach which wasn't living up to its name this particular day. Caught the shot just before I got very wet as I wasn't paying attention to the waves nearer me. Shot on my Lumix G6 in Raw format converted to jpeg in Photoshop. Shot on the 13th April, 2019.
When the storm Babet arrive the South of Norway, I went to Kalvehageneset to try to get som amazing photographs of waves and the Lighthouse Homborsund.
This narrow draw is what most hikers cross to enter into the Wave bowl. Often in the fall through spring visitors will find a pool of water that allows for a nice reflection of the Southeast mound that is part of the Wave. This was one of my primary hopes when I was planning my trip. I really was hoping there would be a pool of water to get this reflection. What I really like about this photo is how all these sandstone lines lead to the entrance into the Wave and the point of the reflection. Another shot from the beach at Jokulsarlon, this time without the icebergs. The waves there are also fantastic!
Some Big Waves crashing into the cliff's at the Bay of Skaill, Orkney. Several days of westerly gale and the lumps start to grow!!

Not here you won't! They were definitely big enough, but much too rocky on the shoreline. This was taken at Cape Spear two days after a pretty big wind storm

The green waves now follow the green wall.
This is the second photo from the Rolling Hills location in Moravia, Czech Republic.
At the same time, this is my absolute favorite photo from the entire tour. If I had returned home after three days with just this photo, I would have been completely satisfied (of course I'm still happy that that's not the case).
This picture shows a slightly wider view of the hills behind the line of trees. Because of this, and because of the more intense "light and shadow play", it has a completely different dynamic than the version I showed you last week.
My wish as a photographer is to create at least one photo every month, which I really like. With this photo here, I have definitely achieved this target for April.
Nach der grünen Wand folgen nun die grünen Wellen.
Dies ist das zweite Foto von der Location "Rollende Hügel" in Mähren in der Tschechischen Republik.
Gleichzeitig ist dies mein absolutes Lieblingsbild von der gesamten Tour. Währe ich nach drei Tagen nur mit diesem Foto zurück nach Hause gekommen, wäre ich voll zufrieden gewesen (ich freue mich natürlich trotzdem, dass dem nicht so ist).
Dieses Bild zeigt einen etwas weiteren Blick auf die Hügel hinter der Baumreihe. Dadurch, und wegen der intensiveren "Licht und Schatten Spiele" hat es eine völlig andere Dynamik als die Version, die ich Euch letzte Woche gezeigt habe.
Mein Wunsch als Fotograf ist es jeden Monat mindestens ein Foto hinzubekommen, was mir richtig gut gefällt. Mit dieser Aufnahme hier, habe ich dieses Soll für den April in jedem Fall geschafft.

A beautiful bodypainted model waves her butterfly wings, my aim was to capture her still, but also her motion in waving. 1/13th shutter did the trick ☺️
