The Wave, North Coyote Buttes, AZ
I've been revisiting a number of my photos over the last couple of years from my travels out west. I have a couple I never posted from my amazing hike to The Wave at the end of 2019.
this shot looks back from the main approach from the trail leading to the main Wave formations. The little reflection pool here seems as it is always present (though I'm sure I'm wrong). Early in the day there was a lot of wind, which did not allow the pool to be smooth. As the day wore on it calmed nicely.

Low tide at the beach in Zoutelande.
Walking on the beach I saw the beauty of the lines in the sand. Enjoying a short springbrake.

Month of March, officially when spring begins, days getting longer and flowers start to bloom. Ah.. where have you been hiding Mr. Sun?
But who can resist frost in the morning, I just can't sleep with the idea in my head. Feet are dying to go, fingers very eager to press the shutter, just need to wait for the right time and condition.
I normally leave most of my stuff in the boot for when I just want to quickly drive around for some quick shoots, but alas! I did not double check if all my things are there, and I left one of the most important thing especially when going to the coast, my wellies!
My poor walking boots and feet were soaked in the freezing water and made it numb for awhile, wish there's a traveling Oaken nearby or just maybe next time check my things first before going :)
Wave's Symphony, Cliffs Of Moher - Republic Of Ireland.
Just another beautiful shot of a storm approaching Cliffs Of Moher. This was my chance to play around with different shutter speeds and achieve that silky smooth water exposure while at the same time trying not to get wet.
After we finished shooting we were on the way to the cliffs, where we were treated with a stunning sunset.

Flickr does not do justice to pano shots. This was a 5 image pano plus a crop.
Hiking early morning in the dark to get the light, shadows and textures is worth it!
Enjoy it in the lightbox.

Luckily I had cleaned the salt spray off my lens just before this wave came in. Nature put on an incredible show here today both on the water, and land - will show that tomorrow.
A starfish, taken briefly from a starfish nursery, on the mangrove roots, placed on a mirror, reflecting the sky. He is waving at you. Put right back in the water. My attempts to bring the beauty of the clear Key Largo Florida Bay water and the mangrove environment to you.
In first comment below, photograph also of mangrove root, which had naturally broken free and was replaced back in the water right after the photo was taken. It's covered with sponges and all sorts of creatures that grow in the magical mangrove root environment under the water.

A view of what is happening with the gulf oil spill, which threatens creatures like this starfish, from below the surface: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7MD9ldxGgQ Divers went into the water and went diving and filmed what is happening. The dispersants are not working it seems.
Info from the Univ. of Miami, Rosentiel school of marine biology, on the spill and the loop current:

The crews of Conrail ME-2 and an NJ Transit local exchange waves as their trains meet in New Brunswick. ME-2 is on the Delco Lead spotting cars at Cal-Chlor while the Trenton-bound commuter train is on the Northeast Corridor. An alternate title for this photo is "The Lean". Both the cab car and the GP40-2 are leaning to the right. Curves on the Northeast Corridor are, of course, superelevated. I'd wager the Delco Lead is not...it's probably just a bit out of alignment here.
