Huge waves coming in at Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore

Continuing my ongoing Wave Art series.

Watching the waves crash against the shore near the Shrine of Saint Therese outside of Juneau, AK.

More swimmer's eye view video I shot at Evangeline Beach, Nova Scotia near Grand Pre in late August 2010. This was my first attempt at capturing the sandpipers flying directly over head around me, but they didn't quite cooperate. They did put on quite a show close by though. You can see they move in waves above the water.

I shot this video with the wrong white balance and tried to fix it in post. Also, the angle isn't quite right in some parts of the clip because I couldn't see the LCD screen of the camera due to the sun.

The video was shot with a Sanyo Xacti SD 640x480 waterproof video camera, so this is why you see it in the smaller size here on an HD 1280x720 render for Flickr.

I briefly became slightly obsessed trying to get the best photos of the waves on the beach. It had also become rather overcast and the world became nearly monochrome.
