Fast exposure 'freezes' the sea splash

On December 14 we had a violent pacific storm in the Northwest. At my home on the coast winds gusted to nearly 100 mph and we had nearly 4 inches of rain. I went to beach yesterday and took many pics of the 25 ft plus seas. I will be posting them in the next week, so stay tuned.

Big storms to California have generated some really huge waves. Pacific Grove.

Waves, wind, and time have carved patterns in the cliffs along Prince Edward Island's coasts. Raw and powerful natural beauty.

Wave Rock is located close to the Town of Hyden, approximately 3 hours drive from The City of Perth.

Though the weather seems to be cloudy, but at the end of the day the sunset was mesmerizing.

The beach is situated on the north shore of Maui, Hawai'i. Known for its thunderous surf and strong wind, it is a windsurfing mecca for experienced surfers.

White Sands National Monument, New Mexico... So WSNM is situated in the bottom of a basin, and water can be found quite near the surface. In the spring, ponds form, here in the desert, and life thrives. Ponds create standing waves when the wind blows, which carve these larger (yellowish) formations on the bottom. Gees, just more drama... ; > )

Unfortunately you cannot hear the loud noise that these waves make. It is very loud as the rocks bang off the Cliffs. The noise can actually startle you if you not expecting it.
