The surf was pretty rough yesterday. No-one was surfing or swimming at Lighthouse Beach in Ballina. They looked pretty spectacular from the wall but their true nature and beauty was hard to capture. The water colour was wonderful!
A cold winters day with a fresh wind blowing. A solitary boat with all the time in world came sailing by.

Storms on Christmas Eve 2013 with waves crashing over the West Pier of Whitehaven harbour shortly before dark near high tide.
A scene with wave breakers I shot on the North Sea Island of Borkum. Even though it might not seem to be the most beautiful of subjects, it has a certain aesthetic quality that I appreciate. This is non-HDR.
