Taken at Newcastle Beach, NSW, Australia. There was a 3.6 metre swell running so I just used longer lenses to try and catch some of the drama without getting wet.

As always, thanks for any comments, views or favorites, they are much appreciated!

Waves breaking over Dragon Cay. The wind was up almost the whole time we were on Middle Caicos, which made for dramatic scenery.

Went for a walk in Stonehaven and spotted these two young surfers catching the waves

I photographed a series of waves from our expedition ship as we neared North Seymour Island in the Galapagos. The color of the water was insanely gorgeous, clear, and especially, the sunlight shone through the crests of the waves as they broke. For fun, I ran this through Silver Efex Pro and applied some cyanotype toning.

I went down to the coast last night hoping to catch a sunset, but it was a bust, as the fog and coastal cloud cover never lifted. So, I resorted to the next best thing, shooting some wave action.

At Carmel State Beach. The waves were very high that day.

Surfing in unbroken (green) waves is for advanced surfers - the most exciting sport.

It's been a mixed bag of weather for me in my 5 weeks here. Today gales, lashing rain but it all made for fantastic waves hitting Portreath harbour wall! Pretty spectacular! I've loved every minute of being back in Cornwall with my babies but now I'm all packed and will be leaving for Heathrow in a few hours to start my 22 hour journey back to Albuquerque, NM.

Strong winds whipped up the waves at high tide

Taken from South Shields beach near the Ampithetre.

Wednesday afternoon I visited the area beyond South Pier and found these Wave Riders. They were enjoying Lake Michigan in its rocking mode.
