It's hard to fathom the extreme force and energy, it takes to create a wave. Multiply that with wind and rocks and you get something truly spectacular. This was my first time using a vintage Jupiter-21M F4/200 M42 Soviet Portrait Telephoto Lens. I may need to play with this lens some more.

Wednesday afternoon I visited the area beyond South Pier and found these Wave Riders. They were enjoying Lake Michigan in its rocking mode.
I went for a walk along the esplanade at Cronulla at dusk last Sunday. The tide was very high, the surf was strong and the light was interesting.

I went down to the coast last night hoping to catch a sunset, but it was a bust, as the fog and coastal cloud cover never lifted. So, I resorted to the next best thing, shooting some wave action.
