So many shades of blue...

Waves on Ramla Beach on the island of Gozo in Malta

Sea waves and sea foam giving always incredible and infinite patters. Nature randomness, exacerbated and captivating.

"The Wave" is a sandstone rock formation in Coyote Buttes North, Paria Canyon - Vermillion Cliffs Wildness, USA. You have to be one of 20 who has luckily got the permits to enter this unique and wonderful landscape.

From the Wire Pass Trailhead, the Wave can be reached by hiking approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) across open desert, making the round-trip to and from the Wave a nearly 6-mile (9.7 km) hike that climbs about 350 feet (110 m) in altitude.

It's so strenuous hike for me to walk on sandy ground carrying 4 L of drinking water and heavy camera equipments on my own. After long strenuous hike, the last part of the trail is the steep sandy cliff that made me almost gave up because of my legs clamps. After resting for a while and my pain became better, I made a judgment for final climbing up. I didn’t want to throw away my opportunity that not easy to get it back again. Finally, I could reach my dream destination.

It's one of the most wonderful places ever seen. I have been very happy every time I look at this photo, it is not because I can get here and take this photo by myself but because I made a right decision for trying to get my opportunity. The day before I got into the Wave, at time I knew that I was one of the luckiest people was one of the most happiness moments in my life.

In a small part of Newquay, the waves hit the rocks on a sunny day.

20+ knot winds made KAP difficult at best, but the wind across Kua Bay was steady enough to fly a Flowform 8 and lift my BBKK rig. At times, though, the rig was at risk of catching surf spray.

Number two in a series of wave abstracts.

I couldn't get a lot of height because of the high wind speed and the low line angle on my only high wind kite, my Flowform 8. So I spent time playing with the waves.

Equipment Used:

Kite - Flowform 8 + 15' Fuzzy Tail

Line - #200 Dacron

Rig - R/C BBKK

Camera - Canon A650IS

Sawarna beach, its waves would certainly challenge surfers to beat it. April to September is the time when many surfers compete to beat the wild wave of the beach.

In La Grande Motte, in the South of France, there are several interesting buildings. This one is in the shape of a wave, see here over one of the busy marinas.

The architect of the resort-city wanted to create it from a blank slate, French architect Jean Balladur was inspired by lost civilizations of the past. His designs echo the architecture of grand Mayan ruins with some added flair from the 1960s, forming a busy seaside resort.

Wave watching is one of my favorite things.

I havent been doing much photography recently , these images are from my trip to Northumberland a few weeks ago

... at Seal Rocks, Ocean Beach, San Francisco.

For all my contacts who are up in the middle of my night, here you go. ;-)

A super telephoto image of waves made from the top of Neahkahnie Mountain. I think I had a 250mm Sonnar with a 2x Mutar on my Hasselblad. So 500mm of telephoto goodness. Nothing like climbing a mountain to get a close up look of the ocean.

When it's just all too much. The magic number seven.

This could be ripples in a bath, or massive west coast surf. The decision is yours
