Waves mixing up the underlying sand in Santa Monica.

Greg and I ventured out and braved the wind storm today. I got a little wet on this shot, but jumped back in time so that I didn't get soaked.

Please check out Greg's shot of the dock and crashing waves.

Canon QL17 GIII and Kodak Ektar 100 film. Scanned on an Epson V500.

Having a look back at some unloved shots hoping to find a bit of variation.

This shot is from a while back at Blast Beach, Seaham.

Sanshiro-jima Island, Nishi-Izu, Shizuoka, Japan.

This place is unique in that waves meet waves from two directions. That's why the water is somehow troubled there though the distance between these small islands and the beach is not far, and looks silky in this long exposure shot.

Waves crash along the rocky shoreline of Lake Superior near Eaghle Harbor, Michigan, on the Upper Peninsula.

God loves you.

A stiff wind kicked up larger waves today on Lake Michigan. These waves were rolling much further up onto the beach than usual as a result.

Another experiment with my Canon's fisheye setting-Lake Michigan waves hitting the breakwater at the Sheboygan, Wisconsin lighthouse.

Actually... I wanted to name this picture... "Sweeping the dust off my stream" :D:D:D:D But that didn't quite sound very caption-ish. :D:D:D:D

See you soon friends... at your sets... not mine. :D

C'est pas le tout de courir après les empuses , profiter de l'été indien pour se baigner en fin de journée et attendre le coucher de soleil tranquillement sur la plage c'est pas mal aussi ;)

It is not all to run after the swells, enjoy the Indian summer to swim at the end of the day and wait for the sunset quietly on the beach is not bad too;)

Waves, my favourite scenery at Currumbin beach, Gold Coast, Australia

On our way home from visiting my son and family in Oregon, we were fortunate to catch the crashing waves at Shore Acres State Park. It was raining from the sky and the sea with strong winds, and it was a challenge to shoot in these conditions, but oh what fun!

Its great to walk the sea front at this time of the year because, whether on the prom or the sand, its dry under foot whereas there is mud in the countryside :) ! Not that I mind mud at all, but sometimes its just great to walk being able to take in what is around you rather than having to watch your feet all the time. This was a great day of mixed cloud and sunshine creating some nice effects.
