Only 20 travelers a day who are lucky enough to get permit for hiking to see The Wave.The Wave is a sandstone rock formation located in the United States of America near the Arizona-Utah border, on the slopes of the Coyote Buttes, in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, on the Colorado Plateau. It is famous among hikers and photographers for its colorful, undulating forms, and the rugged, trackless hike required to reach it.
A delicate play of light and motion as gentle ripples move across the shoreline, bathed in the warm glow of a fading sunset. The shallow depth of field softens the horizon, drawing the eye to the subtle textures of the water’s surface and the fleeting moment between calm and tide.

This is an old project done years ago when I first started doing henna, around 1997. I love Minoan art and had free reign to henna the conga drum any way i wanted to (thank you Rob!) I use the golden bee motif from a famous piece of jewelry - the outside meander wave pattern and lilies are generalized Minoan motifs. The photo was taken a year or so after I had done the henna on it.

Stockholm, Sweden.
Taken around 8 AM from the Västerbron bridge in Stockholm, Sweden. I used to commute to work over this bridge. weather permitting by bike, otherwise by bus. This boat wake is probably the first of the day....
The island to the left is called Kungsholmen. The tower almost in front of the boat is City Hall, where the Nobel Prizes are given out.
The body of water is Mälaren.
I guess if you ask nice enough you will receive. I had a very small break in the weather. (Believe me as I am writing this downpour is happening.) I was luckily near some nice scenery and decided to pan waves as they rushed up onto the shore. I liked the colors and tones.
