3/20/09 While visiting friends in North Carolina I also got to visit one of my recent creations. This is a lap blanket I made for Jon and Amy and their second baby, Toby. It made me happy to know that they use it every day to tuck around Toby in his car seat before taking him and his brother Noah to daycare. :o) I have to brag a bit about this blanket. Although it looks like one of the traditional "ripple" patterns its actually more of a long wave and a pattern I made up myself! :o)

The glare of the afternoon sun on wet sand at the Brewster Flats.
When the tide is out here, the water is so shallow you can walk a mile into Cape Cod Bay and barely get your knees wet. This is "the widest expanse of tidal flats in North America, rivaled in the western hemisphere only by a similar expanse in Brazil." (Wikipedia)
