I got right up to the wave line for this one and had my camera on he sand, slightly risky and I couldn't see exactly what I was shooting. Now i have dozens of images but it was worth it as I like the effect. The waves is all of 6 inches high.

My tribute to the men who lost their lives on "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
I can only imagine the seas that day, after being out to photograph these waves at Silver Islet.
We were in a moderate gale so the winds were whipping around like crazy and the seas were swelling. It was really, really windy so there was just one other person out there taking pics.
except in BC we call our winter winds, "storms," although the winds are in excess of 120 KPH today and we are promised this for the next three days.
PS All the little black spots are rocks and sticks.
