Nottingham Castle that would be … often overlooked, these buttresses support the walls below the castle entrance.
Sun-soaked whispers of July
Somewhere in July, while the afternoon sun pours golden silence over the grass and shrubs, the world briefly pauses.
Everything slows down, everything breathes deeper.
In those moments, nature absorbs the warmth and turns it into new strength — just as it does every summer, quietly and persistently, never in a hurry...
#macromondays #foil
New Week - new Challenge! I a mreally so much pleased that we get each week a new theme which we can creativly present. For the new upcoming Theme called #foil i decided to take a macroshot of one of my favorite chocolates. Of course not the chocolate itself. No...the silver paper of it was my intention this time. So here we go...what you see is the foil of some Lindt chocolate.

Just your words, thank you ☺️
I am enjoying thistles here at home and recently posted three new photos of them. I found this old pic of the setting sun and thistles in a file today.I had forgotten all about it.
Two silhouettes stand at the edge of the world, pretending it’s just another morning. But the sun disagrees—rising like it’s got somewhere fabulous to be and wants everyone to notice. The ocean’s doing its best impression of a mirror selfie, and the clouds are clearly trying to photobomb. It’s quiet, yes. But not subtle. This sunrise is dramatic, slightly vain, and absolutely gorgeous. Somewhere between the waves and the glow, they realize: this isn’t just a sunrise. It’s a full-on mood.

Hammer and Nails go perfectly together especially on Macro Monday!
Tall, short, thin or fat,
A nail is just a nail
But combine it with a hammer
and strike the head true
All your efforts will be
rewarded
And you'll never feel blue.

... and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

No apologies for another shot of the SOhO bar.
Say what you like about the Spanish, they do know how to create a great bar with unique atmosphere.
I like the tones and texture of leaves in the warm glow of the autumn light.
Have a great day. Thanks for looking.

Sunlight pierces the canopy, illuminating a rich tapestry of pine needles, moss, and amber leaves. Within this warm, textured chaos of the forest floor, a solitary cluster of oyster mushrooms caught the light. Backlit to perfection, their pale caps radiated an ethereal, cool glow, shimmering like a cluster of diamonds against the earthen tones.
I am grateful for your continued support and appreciate every view, fave, and comment!

a lone figure walks the last edge of day, between seafoam and silence, reflected in the quiet memory of light. the puddle becomes a mirror, and the beach, a borderland between motion and meaning.

Captured at Bodnant Garden in North Wales, this path leads through late-summer flowers towards the stillness of an ornamental fountain. The dahlias, grasses, and warm tones signal the final flourish before autumn takes hold. It’s a scene of quiet balance — one last burst of colour before the garden rests.
