The Lower Austrian Waldviertel is a place full of mysticism and places of power and also offers a lot of unusual photo motifs.

Besides the Great Globe, there are sacrificial stones, huge wobbling stones, and even an impressive step pyramid.

From my walk on White Oak Mt. last Sunday. Sunlight and a natural spring provided the bokeh.

Canalside pubs, The Inn and The Malt Shovel, at Shardlow Wharf. A somewhat schmaltzy edit I know, however, I recall the 50s … they were brutally austere, rationing was still in force, no one we knew actually had a car, central heating or iPads. The next decade or so may be similar thanks to Putin 😡
