The Lower Austrian Waldviertel is a place full of mysticism and places of power and also offers a lot of unusual photo motifs.
Besides the Great Globe, there are sacrificial stones, huge wobbling stones, and even an impressive step pyramid.
Simone sits poised in front of the screened window, her green eyes fixed on the shifting world beyond. Soft daylight filters through the mesh, tracing the subtle stripes along her face and chest. In this still moment, she seems both watchful and at ease, suspended between the comfort of home and the call of the outdoors.

"I think it's dark and it looks like rain, " you said
"And the wind is blowing
Like it's the end of the world, " you said
"And it's so cold, it's like the cold if you were dead"
Then you smiled for a second
"I think I'm old and I'm feeling pain, " you said
"And it's all running out
Like it's the end of the world, " you said
"And it's so cold, it's like the cold if you were dead"
Then you smiled for a second
Sometimes you make me feel
Like I'm living at the edge of the world
Like I'm living at the edge of the world

Fuck me, I love the 80's.
This albums intro song is so dark, emotional and awesome.
Wind chimes and then a crash of synth... Pure art.
Just like my memories.
Along the wet sands of Cayo Paredon, a Sanderling (at least that's what I believe it is) looks out towards the rising sun, lit by the warm glow of the distant star.
Thanks for viewing and have a great day!!

.... and Chocolate Kisses too
My family always has these chocolates at Christmas. They are my daughter's favourites.
When it comes to hugs, we are a very warm family, that often embraces and supports others.
May your Christmas sparkle with moments of love, laughter and goodwill.
May this Christmas be " tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future."
Merry Christmas everyone!
Happy Holidays!
My favourite Christmas song, performed by children. It is my yearly tradition of playing this song near Christmas.

Ambiance : paisible, majestueuse, contemplative.

**Prompt:**
Wide cinematic shot in 8K of an African savannah bathed in golden hour light, with a warm, dusty atmosphere drifting softly through the air. In the foreground, a majestic male lion with a thick, slightly wind-tousled mane stands protectively behind an elegant lioness resting in dry grass. Both gaze toward the horizon with calm, powerful, almost meditative expressions.
The fur textures are अत्यremely detailed, each strand catching the low sunlight, revealing rich tonal variations from deep ochre to glowing amber. The lioness, with refined and expressive features, is positioned slightly ahead, embodying grace and alertness, while the lion radiates a quiet, regal strength. Their closeness suggests a silent emotional bond.
In the background, a lone acacia tree is silhouetted against a dramatic sky filled with soft pastel and orange hues. The sun sits low on the horizon, casting a diffused glow, while a faint crescent moon appears above, adding a poetic, timeless dimension.
Style blends hyper-realism with subtle watercolor influence, yet maintains photorealistic textures. Cinematic depth of field , with a gentle background blur. Color grading inspired by high-end wildlife documentaries, soft contrast, warm dominant tones.
Mood: serene, majestic, contemplative.
Effects: floating dust particles, volumetric lighting, light wind moving through the grass.
Camera: slow cinematic dolly or static shot with natural micro-movements.
Quality: ultra HD, HDR, extreme detail, lifelike rendering.

Did you know... under every footstep you take in the forest are about 300 miles of mycelium allowing everything you are looking at to communicate with each other. The mushroom is merely the apple on the tree.
Thanks for taking a look!

Canalside pubs, The Inn and The Malt Shovel, at Shardlow Wharf. A somewhat schmaltzy edit I know, however, I recall the 50s … they were brutally austere, rationing was still in force, no one we knew actually had a car, central heating or iPads. The next decade or so may be similar thanks to Putin 😡
