Roadside Table
Alongside Hwy 27 in Mossy Grove, TN.
A reminder of a time when families would take long road trips and stop at roadside tables for lunch. Dad would study the map looking for alternate routes or points of interest. Mom would set the table, complete with plastic table cloth, and unpack the lunch that she had packed that morning. The kids had a chance to stretch their legs running around and exploring in the fresh air, a welcome change from the back seat.
Fast forward to today when you plug your destination into the GPS and follow the directions of a disembodied voice telling you when to turn. For lunch you pull into a fast food drive thru so you can eat lunch on the road. To keep the kids occupied until you reach your destination, you can stick a DVD in the car's entertainment system.

When I am in the mood for grain, I open one of the remaining boxes of Kentmere VC Warmtone. Only once or twice a year I afford myself such a luxury, because every time it is difficult to stop it before the box is empty.

Worth looking at large (I think)
Another Cornish photo, showing the Brisons off Cape Cornwall in late evening as the sun was thinking of heading off to bed. Taken from the rocks in Priest's Cove.
My first proper attempt at long exposure photography using a motley collection of stacked ND filters (7 stops in all). Shot on Fuji Acros which will allow exposure of up to 2 minutes without needing compensation for reciprocity failure. On a semi-wide 65mm lens I got a bit of vignetting, but a slight crop of the negative took care of that.
Wet darkroom print on Fomatone 131 gloss warmtone paper developer in Moersch SE2 warmtone developer @ 1+19. No toning. Getting the exposure right for the foreground was a piece of cake. The sky took a lot of burning in and a post flash to get some detail in the clouds.
