Strange distribution of toning here, can't explain it, but kind of like it anyhow.
Studio shot of a sunflower from the grocery store. The grocery store is very handy when the weather is too hot, cold, wet, dry, cloudy, etc. to shoot outside. Thanks to my wife (and the cats) for not complaining when I fill the sunroom with backdrops, lights, tripods, and other equipment.

It's been another one of those busy from start to finish sort of days. For a Saturday it was paced at a constant go.
My laptop is dying a slow death, and I know my time left with it is getting shorter and shorter so today I went out in hopes of finding a decent machine on one of those 'back to school' specials.
I didn't luck out. Hopefully this laptop of mine still has a few more months left to it because I need to do more research and decide between buying another cheapie or investing more money into a higher end machine that will give me less frustrations.
Stopped at the Orleans Fruit Farm on my way home and picked up some fruits and veggies; my version of grocery shopping this weekend because honestly going to a traditional grocery store on a long weekend is not exactly my idea of awesome.

Uppsala Cathedral (Uppsala Domkyrka) is probably been photographed everyday.
The cathedral was constructed in the late 13th century. With its 118.7m height it is the tallest church building in the Nordic countries. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Uppsala, the primate of Sweden. And of course, one of the most beautiful landmark of Uppsala.
Some information from Swedish WIKI: "Uppsala domkyrka är en katedral i blandad gotisk stil (huvudsakligen en nygotisk tegelefterbildning av fransk höggotik runt en medeltida stomme). Den är domkyrka i ärkestiftet, församlingskyrka för Uppsala domkyrkoförsamling och rikshelgedom för Svenska kyrkan. Den vigdes 1435 åt Sankt Erik, Sankt Olof och Sankt Laurentius som skyddspatroner.
Kyrkan är tillsammans med Nidarosdomen i Trondheim och Mariakyrkan i Gdansk den största i Nordeuropa (och störst i Norden; 118,7 meter lång och lika hög i de båda västtornen), och den största av dess klockor, kallad Storan, är Sveriges största kyrkklocka." (sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uppsala_domkyrka)
Photograph the Cathedral is not easy. I found this view one morning; the sharp towers was surrounds by vivid prime colors in a splendid sunrise in September. Still feels like summer but the top of the trees had already some hint of autumn.

Lost a touch of the nuance in the highlights and shadows compared to the negative but pretty nice.
A calm autumn day at Lake Canobolas near Orange, NSW, with golden foliage reflecting softly across the still water. Warm seasonal colour, gentle light, and a peaceful regional landscape create a classic Central West autumn scene ideal for nature, travel, and outdoor themes.

An old shot from our trip to the stunning Mono Lake. We were lucky to see an awesome sunrise but forgot to pack our tripod which we realized only once we were at the location. So I decided to wing it and do the shots handheld by hiking up the iso of my D800. Needless to say I only got a few shots that were usable and I had to do a lot of noise cancellation work on them to get half way decent images. But this shot was one of the better shots of the day. Hope you all like it..

beneath the warm afternoon sun, a story unfolded on the wall. the chair stood still, yet its shadow danced—a perfect duet of structure and light. the air felt heavy with silence, yet alive with meaning, as if the shadows spoke of fleeting moments, unnoticed but profound. simplicity became the stage, and light, the performer.
In a narrow alley, somewhere between the sea and the warm summer breeze, time seems to stand still for a moment. The walls carry traces of days gone by, the doors whisper quiet stories – and right in the middle of it all, there she stands.
Her red dress catches the light as if it were part of the sun itself. Every step feels light, almost effortless, as if she has learned to drift at exactly the right moment. Not searching for anything… but simply arriving in this very moment.
The air is filled with calm, with that gentle feeling that nothing is rushed and everything is allowed to be exactly as it is. A brief glance, a barely noticeable smile – and suddenly the whole scene feels alive, as if she has given it a heartbeat.
Maybe it’s just a moment on her journey.
Or maybe it’s exactly the place where she can be completely herself, if only for a while.
And as the sun slowly moves on, one thing remains:
this warm, quiet feeling of freedom… something you don’t need to hold onto in order to feel it.
