Khlong Toey Fresh Market. Everything seems to be available here, nothing goes to waste. Vegitables, seafood, chicken, eggs, frogs, turtles, eels, spices, etc. It's a market for locals. I didn't see a single foreigner during my walk.

Chili is a typical English meal, prepared from different sorts of

vegitables, cooked together with beaf. It is very hot and spicy, and

mainly eaten with plain rice. Yummy!

I love artichokes and they don't get any better, or fresher, than this! In the garden of the house we rented at Bodega we found these big, beautiful artichokes growing all over the place. Many of them were the size of a baby's head. Its the first time I ever had artichoke fresh off the vine and they were delicious.

Oyakodon (large size). The price is 800 yen (Regular size is 700 yen). I sometimes eat oyakodon as like the food above, Oyakodon is the bowl with simmered eggs together with chicken and other vegitables (like onion or other)over the rice. The base tastes is made from soy source and japanese rice wine (mirin).

In the shop, eaters can add japanese pickles (tsukemono) by free, and pickles put on the table is really tastey, so that I take too much, when I visit every time.

Arnotts Biscuit tins, all the biscuits came in tins in the early days...

For some reasone, they serve 'pho', Vitnam noodle besides "traditional" Indian curry dishes. Vegitable curry with 'naan' is my favorite.

The longer I'm here, the more I wonder if my work is continuing to poison us in the name of "health". They added a new flavor (in addition to the other two) -

pineapple, passion fruit, and corn

which also included apple juice and carrott juice. I tried it.. it made me wretch it was so awful.

Moral of the story - the strawberry one - while bad (in the middle) - at least can be chugged quickly with the least amount of nasty.

this is the first pic taken by my new cell, and these vegitables are the harvest one of my friends grew in her garden. I'm going to make supper with them!!!
