I LOVE cooking. I just love it :)
Some says it is kinda strange for a man to cook something.
Some says cooking is only for women not for men.
.... Okay, maybe that's true, maybe I'm strange. But I just don't care because I feel really good when I'm cutting meats and vegitables in my kitchen :)
It's a casserole with rice, ground turkey, and a very elaborate layer of squash and zucchini. This is right before it went into the oven to bake. Sorry there isn't an 'After' pic. I ate it.
Cornudella had a daily market set up in the town square, it was only 3 or 4 stalls and that pretty well filled the square.
I love my neighbourhood because there are many fruit and vegitable markets that sell local, farm-fresh and often organic foods for less than the big-box stores.
Apparently a traditional Australian offering, of flour, cream, eggs, and left over vegitables (greens, onions and carrots) and bacon pieces. The graphics on the dish says it all.
Khlong Toey Fresh Market. Everything seems to be available here, nothing goes to waste. Vegitables, seafood, chicken, eggs, frogs, turtles, eels, spices, etc. It's a market for locals. I didn't see a single foreigner during my walk.
this day, i was on the deadline stayed so late at office and didn't have time to go out for dinner. it makes me really tired when i have bentos in the front of PC at 22:00... this bento was good than i expected, but i need vegitables! vegitables! vegitables!
The largest and oldest open air market in Los Angeles, it was opened in 1917. I can usually walk out of here with two huge bags of produce for under $5.
wild sockeye salmon, fresh never frozen grilled in the oven on a bed of lemons, honey and then glazed with homemade beet bbq sauce with some oven roasted vegitables from the farmer's market today (beets, cherry tomatoes, carrots and asparagus)

the bbq sauce get a great color from the beet juice! and was reduced down from sauteeing the beet greens in 1 T butter and salt and pepper and one t of honey, after the greens were cooked and removed I added 1 T apple cider vinegar, 2 T brown sugar, 2 T homemade cocktail sauce, 1/4 t red chili flakes and 1/2 t old bay seasoning and a squeeze of lemon juice, I let it get nice and thick and carmely then I poured it over the plated salmon and topped that with fresh chopped parsley leaves

my hubby calls it beeten salmon
(he likes it even though he usually hates salmon)
served with garlic mayo (chopped up 6 cloves of garlic and mixed into 1/2 cup mayo) chilled a few hours to intensify flavor
