This is my fifth entry to the Lego Ideas vintage car contest. It is based on a 1960's American forward-control van platform. If you are wondering why a pizza delivery van has a bunch of antennae and radar dish on top, its because this van holds a surprise inside, a police surveillance team!!!

Van Waning was born in 1840 as the son of the mayor of Bleiswijk, Jacob Isaac van Waning. His father died when he was three years old.
Van Waning supervised the construction of the Westerkerk on Kruiskade, designed the basic construction of a sugar factory in Leur, Brabant, and was responsible for completing and maintaining Fort Rijnauwen near Bunnik. He imported hardwood from Suriname and acted as agent for Gwyne & Co. in London. In the latter capacity, he supplied the Dutch market with centrifugal pump machines, for example for polders and reclaimed land. He was, among other things, co-founder and commissioner of the N.V. Nederlandsche Fabriek van Rijtuigen en Tramwegrijtuigen (NFRT). In 1878, as an architect and merchant in tropical hardwood, he was responsible for one of the Dutch entries for the world exhibition in Paris. He exhibited a hundred different types of Surinamese wood, for which he received 'une mention honorable' from the organization.
In 1887 he took over a bankrupt cement brick factory that was located on his land. On 21 July 1888 he started the Rotterdamsche Cementsteenfabriek Van Waning en Co. In the years that followed, he expanded this factory.
In 1898 Van Waning & Co. Queen Emma's order to provide the Het Loo domain and palace with sewage. As a result of this, the company received the Royal designation in 1903.
Because Van Waning & Co. being the only company in Rotterdam that could supply reinforced concrete, the company also benefited from the industrial development of the time. Many industrial floors, concrete vaults for bridges and sewage systems come from Van Waning.
The facade of the new head office on Nijverheidstraat was entirely made of artificial sandstone.

11 December 2021 stond in het teken van het afscheid SGMm. In de treinserie 2100 dook de combinatie 2136+2992+2143 op. Als IC 2126 naar Den Haag Centraal passeert de combinatie Haarlem goederen, waar naast het rollend materieel kennelijk ook het spoor aan vervanging toe is
Restored many years ago and looking now how it would look in service, its been a regular attender of the run over the years and is still a pleasure to see this ex BRS Bmc VA van seen here leaving the Yorkshire show ground.
I went to Van Dusen gardens with my good friend Pam. She has been through a lot lately and also has to go back to Montreal to say goodbye to her ailing father. So I dedicate this series to her. We always have fun when we go out.
The diversity of plants at almost anytime of year is wonderful and worth a visit if you are ever in Vancouver.
There are some carnivorous plants in this set that are neat in the way they work and how nice they look.

A breed of cat found in the area around Lake Van, which is 1600m above sea level. They usually have different coloured eyes, and when taken to an area of lower altitude, they develop health problems.

Nog een beeld van één van de glazen wanden die voorzien zijn van omslagen van de diverse tabaksproducten die daar door Van Nelle werden geproduceerd. Links op de foto nog net zichtbaar een Gispenlamp. Deze lampen kom je overal in het complex tegen.

Launched on August 30, 2012, the two Van Allen Probes spacecraft operate in the Van Allen Radiation Belt suffering the harsh conditions they are studying. While other satellites have the luxury of turning off or protecting themselves in the middle of intense space weather, the Van Allen Probes must continue to collect data, and therefore, were built to withstand the constant bombardment of particles and radiation they experience in this intense area of space.

At one time the Police and Ambulance service ran Freight-Rover and LDV vans and coachbuilt chassis cabs with Rover V8 power. This "restored" example was seen participating in the annual "Beach Hop" event at various venues around the eastern Coromandel.
