Huile sur toile, 27 x 19 cm, mars-juin 1886 (F 208/JH 1195), musée Van Gogh, Amsterdam.
V van Gogh peignit 25 autoportraits au cours de son séjour à Paris, bien plus qu'à tout autre moment, chiffre d'autant plus important s'il est comparé à la production de ses contemporains. Il peignait toujours dans les couleurs sombres qu'il avait utilisées dans les Pays-Bas mais va bientôt les abandonner, après l'observation du travail des Impressionnistes. Si cette peinture était à l'origine plutôt plus brillante, certains des pigments se sont effacés au fil du temps. (cf. F Cachin et B Welsch-Ovcharov, musée Van Gogh d'Amsterdam).

Gus Green Van Sant, Jr. (born July 24, 1952) is an American film director, screenwriter, painter, photographer, musician and author who has earned acclaim as both an independent and more mainstream filmmaker. His films typically deal with themes of marginalized subcultures, in particular homosexuality; as such, Van Sant is considered one of the most prominent auteurs of the New Queer Cinema movement.
With an aerodymanic 'nosecone', this is an MOC of an enclosed trailer that you can find at your local storage centre, furniture retailer, gasoline station, etc.

JOWETT BRADFORD VAN.
The Jowett Bradford was a British light van that was produced from 1946 to 1953 by Jowett Cars Ltd of Idle, near Bradford, England.
This is from my Van Gogh collection. In this photograph I have taken a simular composition to the original master peice, (flowers) but added my modern day twist, this being the vase and the different coloured water gels. The lighting from the right is slightly darker to the left, this is another twist, as Van Gogh had bipola disorder, it shows times of darkness with his illness and going in to the lighter (left) when he was feeling better in himself. ALL comments are very welcome.

Bernice Stamm watched the ripples flow outward from the spot where Sanford Montague had last been seen, the water of the dragon pool cold and black in the night. She watched, at first fascinated that anyone could stay under water so long, and then, with growing fear she realized that he would never come up— that murder had occurred before her eyes.
