We love travelling in the UK, varied and beauty everywhere.
What a country, especially around where we live (or am I prejudiced? LOL)
I'll let you be the judge!
Hope you enjoy.
Thank you, have a lovely day, M, (*_*)

UP 2696 (ET44AC) leads a 15 car passenger special (PSCCB3-14) to the end of North Yard for a crew change and fuel stop.
Back into the Mer Bleue area for this morning's walk.
Here I'm watching two mountain bikers approaching. When bicycles or joggers get close I have to sit and wait for them to pass.
I'm pretty good at observing the rules on the trail. Most of the time I have a lot of freedom.

With an array of power lines stretching along the backdrop, so does the variety of ALCO and MLW locomotives around the Delaware-Lackawanna's engine shop as yard-job DL3 prepares to drop off some surplus power before moving onto more of the day's switching on the afternoon of July 11, 2020, in Scranton, PA.
UP 6377 East rolls through the early morning fog at Pump House on the UP Kansas Sub.
It was completely socked in where I was standing, it was not where the drone was.
UP 7978 leads the MPDRV along the south shore of Lookout Point Lake in Oregon. The original line through here was built around 1912 and was down below the line’s current location, where the lake is now. In 1952 the railroad was moved to its current location along the south shore for the building of the Lookout Point Dam, which created the lake. Over 20 miles of track had to be rerouted, lengthening the route by 1 mile. Locomotive consist is UP 7978, 6822, and 9002 on the point, with UP 6310, 5743, and 6278 mid-train in DPU mode. As clouds meander across the plains, a trio of SD40Ns, led by snoot 1598, wrap up their day's work in Eaton, Colorado. Soon the 40s will be humming along at track speed headed home to La Salle.

After a long wait for a busy Lafayette District to clear up, D93 finally has the light up the hill back towards Lafayette. The conductor climbs up on the 7111, shortly before they depart west.

One of the famed (or profaned?) double coal loads stretches for as far as the eye can see. The power is 2x3x1 with nearly 3 miles of train trailing, 276 loads, and nearly 40,000 tons. Impressive to see in person.
I have a mini love affair going with Penelope the Italian greyhound. She’s one of my favorite subjects because she lets me dress her up and she still sits still. She’s the best! This is a very dainty breed.

Conforming to the reverse curves between Heard and Hermosa eastbound tonnage challenges gravity on the climb out of Laramie to the top of Sherman Hill. Nearly 10 miles remain for the eastbound manifest before the 8015' summit will be at hand. UP 1988, Union Pacific's Missouri-Kansas-Texas heritage locomotive, leads the charge.

150 empty cars are on their way up "The Hill" at Herndon, as U87 takes them to storage on the ex-Virginian PD District. This section of rail was mothballed in 2015, but for one day in 2020 a train once again traversed the rails between Elmore Yard and Clarks Gap to put 150 cars in storage. Whether or not this will be the last moved every over the famed hill remains to be seen. The train is seen here chugging up the 2.07% grade, passing a set of Virginian searchlights.
