Step 2 - Bump Map to create the glass edges.
2a. In layers dialog, make the top brown layer invisible by click on the eye symbol.
2b. Make the white, third layer active by clicking on the layer in layers dialog. Make sure the eye symbol is showing so that layer is visible.
2c. Blur the white image. Filters, Blur, Gaussian Blur, 5 pixels, RLE blur method.
2d. Make this same layer invisible by clicking the eye in layers dialog.
2e. Click on the top brown layer, click on eye to make it visible.
2f. Bump Map this brown "New Layer#2" layer by clicking on Filters, Map, Bump Map. At the top, in the Bump Map selection, choose the white "New Layer#1". Change the Depth to 4 and OK.
Look at picture to view the Bump Map settings.
I mainly followed the Noodlehead tutorial ( www.noodle-head.com/2011/03/celebrate-boy-tutorial-basic-... ), but also added quarter sleeves from this tutorial: www.themotherhuddle.com/tutorial-boys-wallet-with-quarter...
Will loves, loves the quarter sleeves. And that's a used AmEx gift card, by the way, just for pretending. :-)

With the presser foot up, slowly pull all the threads through the machine. You can also put the foot down and use the pedal to run them all through, but you have to go slow and make sure the knots don't get caught anywhere.
This is an expanded version of another border tutorial LARGE
1. Option (alt on PC) double click the background layer.
2. Command click (control on PC) on new layer button in layers pallet. FILL IT (Layer 1) WITH BLACK.
3. With Layer 0 chosen go Layer > Create Clipping mask.
4. Click on Layer one and choose the Erasure tool (e on the keyboard).
5. Choose the snowflake brush from the brush menu. If you don't see it choose from the pulldown brush menu on the tool pallet, click on the triangle and another menu appears. Choose assorted brushes and click append.
6 I set my brush size to 150 pixels. Then from the Windows > Brushes preset pallet I checked "Scattering"
7. Making sure you are have Layer 1 chosen (It should be filled with black and the bottom layer) Click once in the top left hand corner. AND DON'T CLICK AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT STEP.
8. While holding the shift key down click once in the bottom left corner, then bottom right, then top right and then top left have corner.
COOL BORDER HUH?

Use a zig-zag or overcast stitch of some type to finish seam edges. This will help provide stability to the bag and prevents edges from unravelling, especially when washed.
Many of my Flickr-friends have asked me to give them a hand with their ENGLISH . . . helping them to make sense of the traditional rules of Grammar and Syntax, which have largely disappeared from the curriculum, as taught in our schools.
I shall up-load a page-a-day, for the next ten days . . . . enjoy !
