I'm planning a bigger tug on a bigger scale. This was a try-out to see if I can do a realistic brick-built hull.
I decided to go for an odd width mainly because of the bow. It made things much harder elsewhere so I'll need another solution next time.
The superstructure isn't very detailed as this was all about the hull.
While it's not meant to be a model of a particular tug I've gone for the familiar colour scheme of Smit.
Time to order some more black and red and start the next version!

Target Tug configured BAC Canberra TT.18 WK128 from Llanbedr on short finals for RIAT Arrivals Day 23/07/1999.
I believe they are Rushton targets that it carries stowed under the wings. The targets are deployed from these pods where to retrieve them the prop which is shown feathered is activated to wind them back in.
Sadly this machine ended it's days being scrapped at Llanbedr in North Wales.

Returning to Santon tug 17 passes the gantry at Barnetby East on February 17th 2015. Only just got this due to a combination of annoying the signalman, early running and a wobbly pole balanced on a fence! 3 panels lit too so will be ok with the light police on this one ;-)
