An early warning that the seasons are changing!

Our lab/pit mix, Hannah, who was kind enough to pose for me so I could try out my new Lightscoop for my pop-up flash and bounce the light off the ceiling.

You can ‘TRUST’ me when I say I will be thrilled when the leaves have all fallen from the trees. This photo is only today’s contribution.

(so far, hubby has taken 83 bags of leaves to the local compost drop-off)

I can see how a Gannets beak could be a lethal weapon but they can be used with finesse and delicacy.

This little Robin showed Trust in me when he landed close to me. Perhaps he is used to park visitors feeding him. Unfortunately I had nothing to offer him.

Work in Progress. . .

I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. - Psalm 143:8

you wouldn't leave your bike leaning against the wall around here such is the beauty of small towns

Seven more chairs from Standen (National Trust).

The house currently has a 1970's theme/exhibition, which will be taken down at the end of October.

Standen always put on a wonderful Christmas display and it will be interesting to see what they do this year.

Photos from an evening visit by members of Webheath Digital Photography Club to Lower Smite Farm, near Droitwich, Worcestershire, which is owned and run as a working farm by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, while allowing plenty of opportunity for wildflowers and small animals to thrive.

I had been searching for a Mother, and I have found her in the Catholic Church. Nay, the Church itself is the Mother of the faithful. In her motherly hands, severity is tempered by mildness; discipline conduces to a healthy freedom; inebriation and sobriety, feeling and dogma, emotion and reason are duly balanced; the Sacraments are the regular channels of grace and the Holy Spirit; the Bible is a part of a living tradition, the liturgical year is a tree planted by the streams of water, bearing flowers and yielding fruits for each season; asceticism becomes a source of gaiety and festivity; sanctity becomes the true romance of life; and mysticism is transformed into a living fountain of virtues. There is unity in diversity, and diversity in unity. True individuality is realized in catholicity. St. Thérèse has said it for me, “Fear makes me shrink, whereas under love’s sweet rule I not only advance—I fly.”
