Picturesque Church Lane leads up to the Hellfire Caves just a short walk away and the Dashwood Mausoleum and church which crown the top of the hill behind me.
Beyond the rooftops of this very pretty National Trust owned village can be seen the trees of the romantic 18th century landscaped gardens that surround West Wycombe Park - the stunning home of the forever infamous Dashwoods.

Saw this today out on one of the ponds on Bookham Common - got the bike out today for the first time for ages .

I went past this spot and there was a duck walking on water - on my way back there was still a duck walking on water ( same one or not , I do not Know ) ,so a shot was order of the day .

(Captured with Lumix DMC-FX07 out of an underwater box. Nevertheless the camera had to be repaired afterwards. Dust particles of the Sahara are getting everywhere!)

GWT - Woorgreens Nature Reserve.
Along with the Firecrest, the Goldcrest is the UK's smallest bird. They're greyish-green with a pale belly and a black and yellow stripe on their heads, which has an orange centre in males. Their thin beak is ideally suited for picking insects out from between pine needles. (RSPB).

Little Moreton Hall, also known as Old Moreton Hall, is a moated half-timbered manor house in Cheshire, England.[The earliest parts of the house were built for the prosperous Cheshire landowner William Moreton in about 1504–08, and the remainder was constructed in stages by successive generations of the family until about 1610. The building is highly irregular, with three asymmetrical ranges forming a small, rectangular cobbled courtyard. A National Trust guidebook describes Little Moreton Hall as being "lifted straight from a fairy story, a gingerbread house".] The house's top-heavy appearance, "like a stranded Noah's Ark", is due to the Long Gallery that runs the length of the south range's upper floor.
The house remained in the possession of the Moreton family for almost 450 years, until ownership was transferred to the National Trust in 1938. Little Moreton Hall and its sandstone bridge across the moat are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and the ground on which Little Moreton Hall stands is protected as a Scheduled Monument.] The house has been fully restored and is open to the public .
At its greatest extent, in the mid-16th century, the Little Moreton Hall estate occupied an area of 1,360 acres (550 ha) and contained a cornmill, orchards, gardens, and an iron bloomery with water-powered hammers. The gardens lay abandoned until their 20th-century re-creation. As there were no surviving records of the layout of the original knot garden it was replanted according to a pattern published in the 17th century.
In contrast to many marsh birds that are very leery of human visitors, this Sora was very adventurous and completely ignored us. That provided the opportunity to observe and photograph it at close range.

Now the most common and widespread UK bird of prey, the Buzzard is quite large with broad, rounded wings, and a short neck and tail. When gliding and soaring, it will often hold its wings in a shallow 'V' and the tail is fanned. Buzzards vary in colour from all dark brown to much paler variations, but all have dark wingtips and a finely-striped tail. (RSPB).
