... besides Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up
In the morning when the day is new?
And after having spent the day together
Hold each other close the whole night through youtu.be/lD4sxxoJGkA
I take photos in 4x6 format so that I can share my day with my son Martin who's locked up. The county jail only allows that size prints but I can send 4 photos at a time. God sent me two sons, a gift and blessing in this world, forever in the next.
God Made Dads
God took the strength of a mountain
The majesty of a tree
The warmth of a summer sun
The calm of a quiet sea
The generous soul of nature
The comforting arm of night
The wisdom of the ages
The power of the eagle’s flight
The joy of a morning in spring
The faith of a mustard seed
The patience of eternity
The depth of a family need
Then God combined these qualities
When there was nothing more to add
He knew His masterpiece was complete
And so
He called it … Dad!!
I know you've suffered
But I don't want you to hide
It's cold and loveless
I won't let you be denied
Soothing
I'll make you feel pure
And trust me
You can be sure
I want to reconcile the violence in your heart
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask
I want to exorcise the demons from your past
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart
You trick your lovers
That you're wicked and divine
You may be a sinner

Some "artwork" scribbled on the side of a brand new NS coil car at Irondale, AL displays NS management's attitude towards their catastrophic mess at East Palestine, OH back in February of this year. Don't worry, we all know the lizard people in charge have everything under control.... 8/8/23.
A changeable weather day at Nymans to see the house and gardens.
Note..Thankyou to everyone who has commented, faved and viewed this photograph, much appreciated. and not forgetting Explore..thanks.
“Trees’re always a relief, after people.” -David Mitchell
This quote resonates with me because I’m always more comfortable around nature than other people. While both are unpredictable, nature has no nefarious intentions, only pureness.
I have a notebook with me pretty much all of the time. Pocket sized ones like these are perfect for when I’m on the go and I love nature themes. These were done in collaboration with AllTrails, a site we find very useful!
Notebooks from Field Notes, bandana from Wondery.
It's a quote of Mark Twain and i start thinking who do or did i trust the most...... yes my dogs.
Thanks for the visit have a nice day
The National Churches Trust describes St Mary's in Potterne as a “an Early English church of exceptional purity and austerity.”
A priest, and land held by the Bishop of Salisbury, was recorded at Potterne in Domesday Book of 1086, and in Victorian times, a 10th Century font was found on the site of the present day Church of England parish church of St Mary. It was built in the 13th century and has survived with little change, beyond work to the tower in the 15th century and restoration by Ewan Christian. Pevsner describes it as, “An Early English parish church of exceptional purity and indeed classicity” and linked this to the Bishops’ ownership of the manor.
The church is cruciform, with a substantial tower over the crossing, and original lancet windows. It is built of rubble stone, with ashlar to the upper tower. The south porch was added in the 14th century, and in the 15th the tower was made higher and given an elaborate battlement. Restoration in 1870–2 included re-roofing and the removal of galleries, and the stained glass is from various dates in that century.
From the 11th century, the church had been linked to All Saints at West Lavington as tithes from both churches endowed a prebendary at Salisbury Cathedral. From 1967 the benefice was held in plurality with Worton and since 2017 the parish has been part of the Wellsprings benefice, which extends to Seend, Bulkington and Poulshot.
Potterne is a village with a population of 1,544 (2021), 2 miles/3 km south of the Wiltshire market town of Devizes.

It was lovely on Saturday, with the sun out and warm enough that people were carrying their coats. What a change today, grey skies and pouring with rain. I am off tomorrow for a spa day which I booked prior to my accident. I normally do one at this time of year as it helps me chill during an extremely hectic time of year at work. However, due to my changed circumstances I had debated whether or not to go. Unfortunately, it was pre-paid and I was unable to cancel, so we will see what happens. I am hoping the pool is one I can walk into rather than having to climb down anyway worse case scenario is me just having to lounge around all day with a book - I can think of worse things - lol

The birthplace of Thomas Bewick, Northumbria's greatest artist, wood engraver and naturalist. Also the 19thC farmhouse, home of the Bewick family, houses a small exhibition on Bewick's life and work. Birthplace cottage, farmyard animals including pet donkeys, lambs and poultry and garden with picnic lawn. Beautiful views of the Tyne Valley and short walk from south bank of River Tyne. Print workshop on the premises.

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!

When you've been around horses almost all of your life, you know which one you can do anything with, and not others. I know with my guts that with this mare, I can do anything, even just ride on her back backwards while she's out in her paddock, she's my Trustfall.

A bond of trust exists between the Kazakh eagle trainers and their golden eagles, as can be seen in this black and white image from the Sunkar Raptor Falcon Sanctuary, Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Out today with Mandy Willard we went to Nymans (National Trust), I spotted these growing on a tree in the gardens, even this time of year there's lots to take pictures of .

Trust to a point,
but they'd just as soon not look at each other.
I could understand the RS not looking at the butt ugly TV,
but can't understand why the TV wouldn't look at the handsome SR. Jealousy??
Note:
This is a 2 capture composite image,
with one capture was focused on the TV,
and the other focused on the RS.
I could have gotten both in good focus at ƒ/22,
but favored a larger aperture (ƒ/4.5) to get better subject isolation from the background.
While not forever, this will be the last one for the year.
Time to forget the old, and welcome the new.
Time for champagne and hopeful promises.
Time for resolutions and grand ideas.
Time for the last toast and final kiss.
Time for a brand new year!
Here's to a happy 2009! Hope for a good one for all my Flickr friends.
