Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

This is a great example of the sunsets we have here in Florida. Sometimes it looks like the sky is on fire, especially after a thunderstorm. I shot this walking around a local lake one evening being sure to take my camera with me.

Most of us are too busy and in too much of a hurry to be able to stop and enjoy a sunrise. Those who have that luxury probably enjoy them immensely--and I envy them.

But sunsets occur at a time when most of us are already in our slowing down mode and we have more time to stop and observe them. Sunset is our time to reflect, and watching sunsets help bring somewhat of a happy, peaceful closure to what may have been a crazy, hectic day...I Love Sunsets!

Nearly black and white but this is a colour photo. It was really foggy one morning when I set out to make some land art but before I started my creation I had to get some good shots in the fog, like this one. I made four copies of the same photo and rotated them so they mirrored each other creating an interesting pattern. I will definitely be doing more experiments with this mirroring technique. It reminds me of Rorschach's ink blots. I see an eye (pretty obvious) and a face among other things. What do you see?

Taken on a misty walk alongside the River Derwent near Hathersage.

I love travelling light, so I decided that this time I would only carry my 50mm prime lens with me. It might sound crazy to some, but I quite enjoyed the challenge. This is one of the landscape pictures I took with this only set up I had.
