In the center of the photo are the little trees with reddish leafs and cone seeds. Ignore the trash, I'll get it cleaned up later on.
The olive (Olea europaea, meaning "Oil from Europe") is a species of small tree in the family Oleaceae, native to the coastal areas of the eastern Mediterranean Basin . Its fruit, also called the olive, is of major agricultural importance in the Mediterranean region as the source of olive oil.
Probably the most photographed tree in NZ. While we were there we were continually dodging photographers from all over the world. There have been some wonderful interpretations of this tree from our Focus friends. Olga
A brief foray in to the murky world of IR; 5D Mk II with Hoya 72 filter attached and then processed in Elements. The original RAW file also comes out a lovely ruby red. This spot might have a proper name but I felt the title suited the mood of the place. Copse and robbers anyone?!
This is a local tree to me, it's dead,but still standing.

Sunrise over the Adelaide Hills made for some whispy clouds and some warm light on the big gum tree.

Whilst driving late in the day I spotted this dead tree and and thought it looked so beautiful with the warmth of the sunset and moody sky behind it.........so I stopped the car!
