The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, “It’s simple,”
they say, “and you, too, have come
into the world to do this, to go easy,
to be filled with light, and to shine.”

Eucalyptus deglupta is a tall tree, commonly known as the rainbow eucalyptus, Mindanao gum, or rainbow gum. It is the only Eucalyptus species found naturally in the Northern Hemisphere. Its natural distribution spans New Britain, New Guinea, Seram, Sulawesi and Mindanao.
The unique multi-hued bark is the most distinctive feature of the tree. Patches of outer bark are shed annually at different times, showing a bright green inner bark. This then darkens and matures to give blue, purple, orange and then maroon tones.

There is still some great autumn foliage in the Lakes Region. Taken yesterday at Bolduc Farm, in Gilford, NH.
This mango tree covers quite a bit of our garden, but it also provides much needed cooling shade. Very few mangoes this year, we are in competition with large fruit bats and bush babies (a kind of small nocturnal monkey) when it is harvesting time. The two shrubs in front (the yellow Croton and the palm tree) are examples of my failed attempt to contain plants in "container garden". For more info see the set

the marks? I now understand thanks to the members of the MF & LF group on FB that this is due to the way this roll has been stored, perhaps in damp or hot conditions and the backing paper lending something extra to the emulsion on the film. Not all the frames are as affected as these, it seems a blue sky and a small aperture enhance it.
Been having some medical problems so not very active...this image was taken when I first got my DSLR more than five years ago. This is a repost from back then with some Topaz tweaking.
