Our Daily Challenge: Tranquil

“Periods of tranquility are seldom prolific of creative achievement. Mankind has to be stirred up.”

I have never had a play with the good old incense stick and smoke.

I know the incense stick is not supposed to be in the frame but this works well....I think.

Tranquility is what makes the countryside different from cities.

On my way home from Stockholm city I just had to stop at this beautifully serene lake.

This title is not original. I am using the words of LenaMayan. She used this phrase while commenting on one of my photos. I thought it would be fitting for this capture. Thanks Earlene!

This week was somewhat better. My grandma now has a feeding tube and isn't allowed to eat or drink... which sucks. But shes doing rehabilitation so lets hope its a speedy recovery =]

I couldn't decide what I wanted to do today for the life of me, I contemplated a jump shot but I felt awkward with the amount of beach-goers that were present. So I opted to be lazy and I'm sorry for that. But I did enjoy my day today =] It was warm with a slight wind and lots of sunshine.(and i really like how my hair crosses idk why...lol)

"A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot."

I saw this goose sitting out on the ice in the most perfect golden hour sunlight. He seemed at peace laying there, soaking up the sun, so I decided to join him by sitting along the bank of the lake and preserving the moment with my camera. Simply tranquil... www.troymarcyphotography.com

Ducks going about their business on a small stream within the grounds of Leeds Castle.

On the island map, they called this the port! We walked all around this bay to get to the beach, hot but so beautiful.

digging hard drives these days and came across this old file. It was captured few years ago in algonquin park. I truly like the simplicity and tranquility in this image and have ever had it processed before but it looks odd and lack of artistic feel to my taste so I decided to rework on it by applying a new skill and knowledge I've recently learnt on photoshop. hope you guys will like it.

Tranquility, virgin beaches... where you can find no one for miles together along the stretch of the whole beach. In case you find one, you should consider yourself lucky. Shot around Dolphin Resort, Havlock Islands, Andamans.
