on a good day a community by the river provides tranquility

Amitabha Stupa & Peace Park, Sedona, Arizona

Scenery along the rail trail from Lilydale to Warburton, to the east of Melbourne. The cycling track is reasonably challenging as it climbs over Mount Evelyn, immediately after you get off the metro train in Lilydale - however, once you go over the mountain, the scenery opens out into flat pastureland for about 30 kilometres. This part of Australia is quite luscious and green most of the time.

The Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail in Victoria, Australia, follows the route of a former railway line that served the Yarra Valley region. Originally constructed in the late 19th century, the railway line was vital for transporting timber, produce, and passengers between Lilydale and Warburton. As rail travel declined in the mid-20th century, the line fell into disuse, prompting its closure in the 1960s. In the 1990s, community efforts led to the conversion of the disused railway corridor into a scenic walking and cycling trail, offering visitors a chance to explore the picturesque Yarra Valley landscape. Today, the trail is a popular recreational attraction, attracting cyclists, walkers, and nature enthusiasts to enjoy its tranquil surroundings and historic remnants along the way.

What a beautiful park, I wish I had more time to camp there.

Enjoy!

.....we wandered along the riverbed as rain began to fall, there was a freshness in the air, birds were calling as the river quietly flowed by, it was tranquil

Tranquility Park is a park in Downtown Houston, Texas, between Walker and Rusk Streets, and west of Smith Street, with the United States federal courts building for the Southern District of Texas on one side and Houston City Hall on the other. It takes its name from the Sea of Tranquility, where man first landed on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission on July 20, 1969.

on friday night we are going back here for tapas and traditional dancing and music.

can't wait.

I found this video on an old SD card I had used to store files on from March 2017.

I recorded this at Donmouth Nature Reserve in Aberdeen Scotland, sea was rough, very rough that evening,a cloudwall had formed on the horizon with the supply ships bobbing about as they wait their turn to enter the harbour .

I captured the scene on my iphone7plus in 4k.

On the 17th September 2017 SR Bulleid Pacific 4-6-2 No.34081 92 Squadon crosses the Nene River into Wansford Station with a service from Peterborough. It was the last day of the annual Nene Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala and with the good weather has brought out more than just the train enthusiast.

This is also part of my Nocturnal Landscape set, and is a 15 minute time exposure down by the CT river. Over this time span, the water becomes glassy, and reflects of the skyward light. Three misshapen rocks serve as an interruption to the flow with a stark silhouette.

I love the feeling of calmness and relaxedness I get from taking time out on the veranda.

This is the little pond area at Sugar Mill Gardens. It looks different every time I visit these days. I love the little frog accent, as it lends a touch of tranquility to the scene. However, upon closer inspection, look at the BUGS on the leaves in the foreground! Welcome to Florida! They don't use insecticide there....

With the sound of curlew calling overhead, the tranquility of a Cummersdale mid-summer's evening is momentarily broken and a crow is disturbed as Direct Rail Services 37423 'Spirit of the Lakes' and 37409 'Lord Hinton' growl along the jointed track towards Currock Junction just before 9.00pm with three 'FNA' wagons and flasks in tow, the 6C46 19:11 Sellafiield to Carlisle Kingmoor on Wednesday 16th June 2013. A magical evening to be out and about.
