With the sound of curlew calling overhead, the tranquility of a Cummersdale mid-summer's evening is momentarily broken and a crow is disturbed as Direct Rail Services 37423 'Spirit of the Lakes' and 37409 'Lord Hinton' growl along the jointed track towards Currock Junction just before 9.00pm with three 'FNA' wagons and flasks in tow, the 6C46 19:11 Sellafiield to Carlisle Kingmoor on Wednesday 16th June 2013. A magical evening to be out and about.

Couldn't resist taking this, I just loved the way the light was shining through the Cuillin mountains, and how calm the sea was. I'd love your comments please.

A beautiful lake on a calm peaceful evening in Sweden.

peaceful dawn scene on the Tamar at Cotehele quay

I was looking through the shots I took a few weeks ago at Earnse Bay, and this one caught my eye so I thought I’d post it on here and keep my fingers crossed – hope you like it!

....for my good friend, Ge, ( i_travel_east)...a true artist... thank you for your friendship and unending support...I may not have a great photo to offer, that's worthy of your genius...but this one really expresses the way i feel about your photographs...a mixture of emotions.. of tranquility and struggle...and the beauty and darkness of life....

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see the beauty, believe in them and try to follow where they lead.

I passed by this lake traveling home from a day trip to Mt Rainier. I've driven past this lake several times, but this day, this moment, the conditions were magical. I instantly turned the car around and captured this photo.

I was trying out some new techniques on a photo I took a while ago.

The Glencoe Lochan was created by Lord Strathcona in the nineteenth century to help his Native American wife get over her longing for her home in Canada. The lochan is now maintained by the Forestry Commission. It is a popular place for easy walks.

A large car park outside the village with easy access to the forest trails and fishing. Try to catch your own supper of brown trout from the side of the lochan or from one of the easy access pontoons. The resident row boat 'The Laird' is also available for hire and is equipped to take passengers and a wheelchair. Permits for fishing are available from various local outlets. Contact the district office for details.

How to get there:

Cross the River Coe from Glencoe Village and turn left after 100 yds (signposted for Glencoe Lochan and the hospital) at an old gatehouse. Bear right at the fork to take you to the car park and access to walks and fishing on the lochan

I know, i've been so bad about uploading lately. I've just been so pushed with this AP concentration and everything with school. It's just crazy in my life. But I'm back now, I have missed flickr like crazy.

This is part of my AP photography concentration. I love it.
