Trail 5, situated in Margalla Hills National Park, is one of the most picturesque trails to visit. It has a number of water springs and birds of various kinds can be spotted here.
Stack over about 45 mins. Camera running 30 seconds @ ISO 800 / f5.6. Medium JPEG mode to ease the load when it comes to processing the images.
The gap in the trails is where I ran out of battery and had to put my spare in. As you can see, the earth moved a long way while I was replacing the batteries.
The light on the horizon is the moon setting.
Think I'm done with stacking for now.
Whilst at North Weald recently I noticed this Boeing 747 Airliner flying overhead with this dramatic vapour trail.
Okay this is the 'rest of the story'.... Marily & Jody have just been dropped off to hike the trail back to the falls... 'see you in about 3 hours!" As I had fun photographing the falls and a bunch of stuff, time pasted quickly. After 3 hrs... nothing, no problem, shoot some more... 4 hrs, oh well they both have small cameras not surprising, 5 hrs. hummm, wondering.... 6 hrs... okay concerned, where is Ranger. As soon as Ranger arrived to talk to me, guess who comes happily walking into parking lot! Phew... no real problems!
One of the most convenient amenities for students and residents at The Waters is the Trail to Education, a path that leads directly from The Waters to the Pike Road Elementary School. The trail is accessible by foot, bike — and even golf cart. It is open year-round and offers students and parents a safe car-free route between home and school.

a trail we made through a local woodland has been holding up very well, and provides a break from chilling breezes off the ocean.
My first star trail. I'm not crazy about the lighting on the tree, but overall pretty happy with this as a first attempt. This was processed with startrails.exe and Lightroom. It is 17 exposures of 2 minutes at f2.8 and ISO 400 with a 17mm focal length on a 1.6 crop camera.

Devastation Trail has always been a favorite walk for me, though it is quite stark, for you see how our native and naturalized plants do return, and begin to colonize the land. Many visitors agree you can skip it for other hikes, but I respectfully disagree; there is something about the place which speaks to me… This is where an ‘ōhi‘a forest was devastated by Kīlauea Iki’s 1959 eruption from vents in nearby Pu‘u Pua‘i (Gushing Hill), and seeing the still barren hillsides is humbling. During the eruption, fire fountains of molten lava shot up as high as 1900 feet tall from the eruptive rifts. The forest was buried by falling pumice to a depth of two meters (over 6.5 feet) and trees were entirely stripped of their leaves. The trail is an easy hike, with an elevation change of only 56 feet, so you can easily stroll the mostly-paved path.

They are building a new road crossing at Dequindre Road on the Macomb Orchard Trail. They put up a lot of signs to tell people. This is a small sample.
