The Glooscap Trail is a scenic roadway in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia.

It is located in the central and northern part of the province around the Minas Basin and Cobequid Bay, sub-basins of the Bay of Fundy. The route connects Wolfville in Kings County, Nova Scotia with Amherst in Cumberland County, at the interprovincial boundary with New Brunswick.

The route measures 365 km (227 mi).

According to a Mikmaq legend, Glooscap was a giant god-like man who was created by Gisoolg (the Great Spirit Creator) and lived on the high cliffs of Cape Blomidon, overlooking the Bay of Fundy. He was created by a lightning bolt striking sand. The legend credits Glooscap with creating the Five Islands in the Minas Basin. These islands were formed from giant clods of mud thrown by Glooscap at a disrespectful beaver (the beaver's dam had flooded Glooscap's garden). Glooscap smashed the beaver's dam and allowed the water to flow freely, creating the Bay of Fundy tides.

Here's where the trails split off. The trail shown continues as the Makiki Valley Loop Trail but I take the Kanealole Trail.

Fellow hiker. Didn't catch his trail name.

My property borders the Constitution Trail, a former right-of-way of Bloomington's first railroad. The hillside is covered with blooms from mostly native prairie plants.

located in Chesley, Ontario this is a rail bridge that has been converted to the rail trail system that extends across many communities in southern Ontario.

The Honopu Ridge Trail winds it's way through dark forests, thick vegetation, and along ridgetops, as it leads to a stunning viewpoint. It is best to wear light long pants or the ferns will be scraping across your legs for the first mile. There is a good bit of descent in the first mile and a half, it's not that much different than many of the ridges in the area. The trail is not officially maintained or marked so you must climb over or under many fallen trees, and climb down steep slopes. Honopu Ridge Trail is a 4.6 mile hike that takes you to incredible views of Honopu Valley and a portion of the Na Pali Coastline. The trail drops about 1,650ft in elevation from the trailhead to the ridge.

We started the hike at 7:00am and ended at 10:30 am. It is best to do this trail mid day for the proper light. I would not suggest to do this trail on a wet day.

There's a guarantee that you will get WET and MUD if you hike to see Waimoku Falls.

Durango, Colorado, this trail goes along the river, from the south side of town to the north part of town. It is a beautiful path and often busy with activity! Now that the summer tourist season has ended and the winter skiers haven't yet arrived, it's the perfect time to explore and have it all to yourself!!

On my way to work this morning I thought I'd experiment with a kinda long exposure. Hope you all like.

Beginning at the west end of Delta Campground, Delta Nature Trail #3317 makes a short loop through a mixed conifer and deciduous old growth forest near the confluence of the McKenzie River and its South Fork. The trail crosses 3 streams over installed foot bridges, overlooking large wetlands and trees up to 200 feet tall. (www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/willamette/recreation/recarea/?re...)

The plan is currently to demolish this former glove factory at the Bloomingdale Trail's western trailhead at Ridgeway Avenue. The entire building should not be demolished and instead be used to house retail spaces for neighbors and trail users: café, bike shop, and a local non-profit that signs up people for health insurance.
