A new day
a new week
a new month...
Merry Christmas, everyone!!! :P
(Behind-the-scene: Same-'o story. Leaving work. I get "distracted". I see a subject. For this case these gum tree leaves. I let Temple snap away. Then I drive home with a huge smile in my face. You know, the same one you get when you feel you hit the "spot"? The "Sweet spot". :P)

This is a part of a series of images shot on the same afternoon from the same location. Due to the amazing and varied conditions of light, mist and clouds, I thought it would be interesting to share that with others.
The climax of the scene is a previous post:
One can still see an afterglow of the light explosion which occured in the mist reaching out to the clouds. Light is rapidly fading and the final curtain is about to obscure the background. For a brief moment, the foreground gives the finale, liquid gold reflections (at a low angle) against cold blue tinted snow.
Interesting to see the different colors of light picked up by water in its different physical states.
"Before the Light" potrays a colder version of the scene as we arrived at this location:

A photograph is an instrument of love and revelation that must see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live in all things. ~ Ansel Adams
Marking one hundred years since the first full day of Britain's involvement in the First World War. Created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper, 888,246 ceramic poppies will progressively fill the Tower's famous moat over the summer. Each poppy represents a British military fatality during the war.
The poppies will encircle the iconic landmark, creating not only a spectacular display visible from all around the Tower but also a location for personal reflection. The scale of the installation intends to reflect the magnitude of such an important centenary creating a powerful visual commemoration.
This was taken the second time we visited The Tower of London, which I believe may have been the actual first full day of Brittian's involvement in the war as while we grabbed a bit of "refreshment" in a pub across the street, the telly was showing Prince William attending a ceremony marking the historic day for his country.
The ceramic figurines kiss in the window shop.

I was given a copy of Disney's Fantasia for my birthday last month which has inspired several images of dandelions. This is one ... It's been a good summer for weeds and wild flowers.
The original photograph was taken with a Panasonic DMC FZ250, not a Nikon, as shown in the exif data. I can only guess that this is because one of the layers I used was taken with my Nikon
Textures, so far as I remember: Lagoon and WaterBokeh are available in my free texture set
