Blick auf das über 200 Jahre alte Hofgut Furpach und seinem zugefrorenen Gutsweiher.

View of the more than 200 year old Furpach estate and its frozen estate pond.

Daffodils from last year in a sunny day, they're always one of the first flowers of spring. Ours here need more rain, they are always looking down or sleeping... or maybe I have to see them in the morning? 🤔 Let's hope for more rainy days and new photos!

Clouds starting to roll in on the river.

One of the amazing flowers of the end of Spring are the Peonies with so many varieties and colors. This one is a white Tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa).

I love the sunflower -- it's beautiful and it gives us all kinds of foods, like oil and seeds. This one was growing wild, probably from a seed dropped by a bird or squirrel. Or maybe this is some wild variety.

I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to view, fave or comment on my photo. It is very much appreciated.

A seaside resort was developed by Sir Richard Hotham in the late 18th century on what was a sand and gravel, undeveloped coastline. It has been claimed that Hotham and his new resort are portrayed in Jane Austen's unfinished novel Sanditon. The resort grew slowly in the first half of the 19th century but grew rapidly following the coming of the railway in 1864. In 1929 the area was chosen by advisors to King George V which led to its regal suffix, by royal consent. Butlin's has been present in the town since the early 1930s when an amusement park and zoo were opened. A holiday camp followed in 1960 and this has more recently moved towards hotel accommodation with modern amenities.
