This is a series capturing Greater Cleveland's first significant snowfall this year. This is nothing compared to what we are expected to get this winter.
It was a very cold, snowy morning with strong winds. I kept my trusty S95 in my coat pocket until I needed to take a picture, but it still got pretty wet. Fortunately, it doesn't exhibit any ill effects from my stupidity. :))
Thank you for viewing!

Walking through the woods, dwarfed by the tall trees, I took a series of four pictures that were pieced together to create the original image. After repainting, I was playing with textures and I found I could create two very different seasons using different textures. Which do you prefer?
(I subsequently created winter and spring - see my next posting)

Maybe I've choosen a somehow optimistic title for that picture, as the sun was already setting at Großer Ahornboden and would be away after further 5-10 minutes, but the scenery remembers me at this song and the feeling behind.
And anyway, for sure, the sunshine will come in again.

At Mount Hope Cemetery (Rochester, NY), tiger lilies were growing among the gravestones. The stark contrast between the bright flowers and the dark stones appealed to me - but the reality in the photograph didn't really reflect my vision of the scene. So I re-"painted" it...
