We have had a warm October (relatively speaking) this year. Today is very windy, and most the leaves have fallen. This is in our back yard; the photo was taken early, after a night of rain - before the wind started in earnest (winds later reported at 50mph).

Maybe I've choosen a somehow optimistic title for that picture, as the sun was already setting at Großer Ahornboden and would be away after further 5-10 minutes, but the scenery remembers me at this song and the feeling behind.
And anyway, for sure, the sunshine will come in again.
Walking through the woods, dwarfed by the tall trees, I took a series of four pictures that were pieced together to create the original image. After repainting, I was playing with textures and I found I could create two very different seasons using different textures. Which do you prefer?

A flower I like seeing every year, because it is one of the many that reminds me, that summer is coming.
I have many pictures that I took the other day, when visiting a near-by meadow, that for me is a synonim for a summer day....so, more to come!

There are miles and miles of drying cornfields in western Ontario in late autumn. This type of corn is harvested when the moisture is right to produce feed for cattle. My first picture with my new camera, a Nikon Coolpix P900. I'm still learning how to work it properly.
