Yay...don't tell my Dad, but I found these marvellous little chaps shagging on his Phygellius...ooh...they are going to make one hell of a mess. The larvae leave a disgusting black sticky slime and will strip the leaves of their goodness...*whistles* dum -de-dum..."What are you photographing now love?"
"oh nothing Dad...just a ladybird!"

Tiny Silver Lizard - finished 18 September, 2009
I started this little guy last year, and he has been sitting unfinished until now. He has about 16 feet of hair-thin, fine silver wire coiled onto his less than 3 inch length (his body from head to where the tail begins is only 1.5 inches). Another unfinished project finished & off my workbench! :D
The folks at Backcountry Tiny Homes visited our school campus. I only had my flip-phone camera, and I didn't have a lot of time to compose photos in the small space, but here you go. The house is unfinished. You may visit www.backcountrytinyhomes.com/ to see some of their other work.
Granted, the fence is relatively tall and the building is on stilts but it still seems like a pretty small truck.

This is a terrible photo of a tiny fly type thing that I found a few days ago. Excuses for bad photo: it was getting dark, a bit windy and the bug was tiny, and I had nothing to lean on to stay steady. The only reason I'm posting this is that I'm not really sure what this bug is, and I'm sure I saw someone post something similar recently.. if only I can remember who!
This was the last shot I took this evening over at the local metropark (thus shot at ISO 2000). As the storm clouds moved in this little guy moved out in the open. S/he didn't mind my presence unlike many of the fawns I have seen this year. I was about 60 feet away.

While I was in San Francisco I had the honor and privilege to hang out with one of my favourite people, John Vanderslice.
John gave us a personal tour of his studio Tiny Telephone. It was refreshing to hear how passionate he was about analog recording, his equipment, the history, construction, and expansion of Tiny Telephone. John's one of those people you meet who is so positive and passionate about everything he does that you leave inspired to create your own thing.

A tiny bunny from a children's carousel. I sadly can't ride this one as it has a weight limit of 50 lbs.
