Tiny penguin made as a sample for a classroom stop motion animation project early last summer. I just put the how-to-make-it guide on instructables.com. Less than 75¢ in materials, and simple enough for first graders to make - we had a lot of fun with these!

There I was, thinking I was done shooting bugs on my patio for the night, but checking to see whose belly I might get through the glass. When I saw this tiny shape, I knew I hadn't seen its top side. D'oh! That means I'm not done.
Here is the start of my dandy hedgehog for the tiny trifecta show. He is a mighty 3" x 5" thus far. More hand felting and hand sewing and then off he goes to New York!

I shot this image to illustrate the word 'tiny'. I think that it works well because you can see how tiny the bottle is by relating it to the hand. If the hand wasn't there, you wouldn't get the sense of scale and the bottle could look like a full size one.
The neutral background works well because it complements the subject and doesn't take your attention away from it.
The curve of the hand works well too because it encourages your eyes to follow it and this gives the image a nice sense of movement and flow.
The smiling sun painting on the wall behind Tiny is on the side of my house~~~the neighbor's have a great view of it.

This tiny baby mantis must have recently hatched. It was only about 2 cm long. We helped her get back to the tall beachgrass.

An image of tiny Daffodil flowres in bloom with dirt and bulbs showing at the bottom. I used a texture to enhance the image and to bring out the detail. Seeing these is a true sign that Spring is just around the corner.
