This is a Tidal Pool on the Island of Lanaii, (Hawaii.) It was so wondrful looking at all the animals caught in the tidal pool. Little colorful fish, eels, mollusks etc. It was photographed with a point and click Olympus camera, so is not as good as recent photos. Photographed by

An experimental design. The blades are 21 feet across and go into the water where the tidal flow turns them, thus generating electricity.

A composite of 5 shots (of varying exposure). Didn't quite go the whole HDR route (the shadows are still pretty shadowy) but I like the result.
Also, I love this place.
It is so beautiful and the place I have made a note of is where we were staying, by the side of the little railway overlooking the estuary!! A magical place to stay as we could enjoy our alternative hobby of birdwatching as the tidal waters fill the estuary twice a day!
Proof that, indeed, I have made significant progress on Tidal Wave 2. Most of the second sock was knit during one of the most ridiculous meetings I've ever attended.
