This might be the 33-kv line of the Nebraska Gas & Electric Company that ran south from Pleasant Dale, Nebraska to Wilbur and Beatrice.

The skies while I was home for the most part were quite hazy with smoke from the forest fires burning in all directions.

This roadside stall was selling ballo, the local Torajan palm wine. At under 20 cents a glass I had to try.

I just Stop searching for the greatest story to tell. It's been more than a year and I'm tired of searching.I try to find the perfect idea and I think it just doesn't exist. So This is my main Barbie, I'll take some fun picture and built mini stories around her instead or my usual all connected doll world. Start all over fresh and new by buying her a fun and different boyfriend.

Sometime it's a pain in the a** to such a perfectioniist. i'm driving myself crazy -.-. I wrote about 60 different scenario idea in the last year to end up in such a shortcut but still the important part of collecting dolls is about fun...

This was just before the old station was torn down. Telkwa, namesake station for the Telkwa Subdivision, is located about 10 km east of Smithers. The Telkwa Sub runs between Endako & Smithers and is part of CN's BC North main line. This route was built by the Grand Trunk Pacific just before the First World War.

it was crazy hot today. Summer weather in the spring = a happy me.

I took inspiration from Joel Robison for this.

This is the highest trail in terms of elevation on Mt Hood. You may be confused if you're just trying to catch your brath at 8500' ore youw gobsmacked by breathtaking views.

Swans, genus Cygnus, are birds of the family Anatidae, which also includes geese and ducks. Swans are grouped with the closely related geese in the subfamily Anserinae where they form the tribe Cygnini. Sometimes, they are considered a distinct subfamily, Cygninae. There are six to seven species of swan in the genus Cygnus; in addition there is another species known as a swan, the Coscoroba Swan, although this species is no longer considered related to the true swans. Swans usually mate for life, though 'divorce' does sometimes occur, particularly following nesting failure. The number of eggs in each clutch ranges from three to eight. The swans are the largest members of the duck family Anatidae, and are amongst the largest flying birds. The largest species, including the mute swan, trumpeter swan, and whooper swan, can reach length of over 1.5 m (60 inches) and weigh over 15 kg (33 pounds). Their wingspans can be almost 3 m (10 ft). Compared to the closely related geese they are much larger in size and have proportionally larger feet and necks.[2] They also have a patch of unfeathered skin between the eyes and bill in adults. The sexes are alike in plumage, but males are generally bigger and heavier than females.

Swan preening itselfThe Northern Hemisphere species of swan have pure white plumage but the Southern Hemisphere species are mixed black and white. The Australian Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) is completely black except for the white flight feathers on its wings; the chicks of black swans are light grey in colour, and the South American Black-necked Swan has a black neck.

The legs of swans are normally a dark blackish grey colour, except for the two South American species, which have pink legs. Bill colour varies: the four subarctic species have black bills with varying amounts of yellow, and all the others are patterned red and black, although most birds generally do not have teeth, swans are known to be an exception to this having small jagged 'teeth' as part of their beaks used for catching and eating fish. The Mute Swan and Black-necked Swan have a lump at the base of the bill on the upper mandible.Swans feed in the water and on land. They are almost entirely herbivorous, although small numbers of aquatic animals may be eaten. In the water food is obtained by up-ending or dabbling, and their diet is composed of the roots, tubers, stems and leaves of aquatic and submerged plants.[2]

A feeding Mute Swan in ice-covered pool, HanoverSwans form monogamous pair bonds that last for many years, and in some cases these can last for life.[4] Modern genetic techniques are starting to reveal that 'divorces' are more common than previously thought, as is mating with other swans outside of the social pairing, without breaking the social pair bond.[5] These bonds are maintained year round, even in gregarious and migratory species like the Tundra Swan, which congregate in large flocks in the wintering grounds.[6] The nest is on the ground near water and about a metre across. Unlike many other ducks and geese the male helps with the nest construction. Average egg size (for the mute swan) is 113×74 mm, weighing 340 g, in a clutch size of 4 to 7, and an incubation period of 34–45 days.[7] With the exception of the dendrocygninaes they are the only anatids where the males aid in incubating the eggs.

Mute swans have been observed to display homosexual or transgender behavior.

Northgate Street, Chester on a rainy 22nd April 1981: I've always enjoyed visiting the City, although I personally think that it lost some of its character with the pedestrianisation of many of its central streets. The municipal owned bus fleet was always an interesting one, its red and cream buses an important and integral part of the City scene. By 1981, Chester, along with Lancashire United in Greater Manchester were then, the last bastions of the Guy Arab motorbus and were the places you could see the type operating in numbers.

Even in the early ‘80s it was still quite an amazing sight to see one of these stalwarts making it’s way through the City streets in the company of Fleetlines and Dennis Dominators, which were by then, the main stay of the contemporary fleet.

Chester City Transport No42, was one of the last Guy Arab motorbuses built for the British home market, arriving new to Chester in March 1969. After a reasonably long service life, and in the face of phasing out two-man operated buses, she was withdrawn from service in 1982. Fortunately, after withdrawal, 42 was sold to a preservationist in Altringham, and thankfully she survives to this day. glens-buses.fotopic.net/p50128985.html

This is just a first attempt... but I'd say they turned out quite well! Well enough that I'm going to have to work in an extra stair workout this week I think. :-)

Next week will be my last week I meet with my Kids Hope kid until the next school year. It is so hard on my heart to go a whole summer with out this bundle of energy.

This is one of the City Sightseeing Eastbourne & Beachy Head buses. 367 - Volvo Olympian/Alexander P776SWC. Seen here enroute between Beachy Head and Birling Gap. It looks like the couple on the top deck were the only passengers.

Two weeks ago when we were at Turrimetta Beach the rocks were completely entombed by golden sand. Today mammoth seas had shifted that sand to expose cliffs of green lichen. Huey threw in some totally wild barrels that were whipped skyward by a bone chilling Westerly blow.

As the sun rose all I could think was, "This is Mega".

I may be stuck in a rut but I rather like this particular rut. Also, I just can't seem to make any interesting street photos. Hopefully when summer nears...

Unlikely as it may seem, this is an English beach scene - Higher Town bay, St Martin's Island, off the coast of Cornwall. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to - and the photo was taken in October!

This is a Montana Highway Patrol 2010 Chevrolet Impala with the 75th Anniversary graphics. This trooper pulled into the stall next to me at a gas station in Miles City, MT. We discussed his vehicle, which is one of the last Impalas to be ordered. Starting with the 2012 model year, MHP is ordering only Dodge Chargers. In just a couple of years, it will be a Charger only fleet.

This little one is a ray of light for sure giving me a lovely day although I have to work! ;-)

Thank You IMReal for this awesome little one and her sisters.

This is not a candid shot. The couple were cozied-up together under their umbrella, trying to avoid the worst of the rain. I asked them if they would kiss so I could get a picture and they obliged. Actually, they seemed very happy to oblige. ;-D

"This old house of ours is built on dreams

And a businessman don't know what that means.

There's a garden outside she works in every day

And tomorrow morning a man from the bank is

Gonna come and take it all away."

This image illustrates the Bristol VRL concept to its best advantage. Placing the engine longitudinally on the offside beyond the rear axle not only simplified the driveline but also enabled a rear entrance or exit to be fitted. One downside was that a long rear-overhang was required, which wouldn't have been acceptable on shorter chassis. I suspect that there may also have been some weight distribution issues. This is a 36 foot VRL-LL (vertical rear longitudinal-engine, long low chassis), a type that was offered but not actually built. Some very similar 36-foot dual-door (front and rear) buses were built for the South African municipality of Johannesburg on the marginal higher VRL-LH chassis. The bodies for these were built locally by Bus Bodies (SA) to a very neat design with equal-length side windows. My version uses standard ECW windows bays with an awkward half bay at the rear, as fitted to various bodies built by that concern. Interestingly ECW had produced drawings for a 36-foot body to a similar layout on what was then called the Bristol N-Type chassis, but using equal-width window bays. The unusual low-mounted route number was characteristic of most South African municipal fleets (01-May-10)..

This cow was looking for some refreshment on a hot Sunday afternoon

this old porch is just a long time

of waiting and forgetting

and remembering the coming back

and not crying about the leaving

and remembering the falling down

and the laughter of the curse of luck

from all of those sons of bitches

who said we'd never get back up

This is the former residence of playwright Derek Jarman, though it appears to be unoccupied, it's nice to see that it is being nicely looked after by someone.

..this old tree stump is decorated quite prettily by the changing colours of fall I think..this is the flash of colour I saw by the roadside that got me to stop and sit in the ditch for a bit on my way home the other day.. just too pretty to not stop for!

This is what a fresh new fleet of Blackpool Brush Inspired Tram Flexity Cars would have looked like For Preston Tram Power route proposed for Preston . This would have desperately modernized the Old Deepdale Branch rail line system Preston and Deepdale Coal yard but also keeping the past 50 years of Blackpool tram car design alive for the future of Blackpool Brush Car Design.

Yeah, what a result. I joined a 52 weeks group. So instead of preparing for my school exams, I was more mentally preocuppied with the interpretation of the first topic. Obviously, I started to freak out because I couldn´t come with anything and took the photos only the very last day possible. It´s blurry, bad, I wanted to use a photo of my brother, not myself (but his blurred even more - he really can´t stand still even for a second) and the result is far from what I had originally in mind. But yeah, I just CAN´T start yet another plan of mine by not doing it because that´s so me, and if I was to make a new years resolution, it would definitely include some radical change in my approach (to life in general, really).

Well, if a photo needs this long explanation, it´s pretty...self-explanatory when it comes to quality judgement :).

This seems to be the song I sing to Great Blue Herons. Just can't resist them, so they have a way of popping up frequently in my stream. He was lit so nicely in the late afternoon sun, where a beam caught his eye and turned it into a golden orb. He is quite handsome on full-screen view.

This car was originally a solid blue colour and had become rather tatty, possibly even accident-damaged. Luckily it fell into the right hands and its new owner did an excellent job of restoring it. The West London guys do love their Violets...
