This is what happens when extreme boredom meets requests from internet strangers. DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!
This is likely the last work in progress photo of this you'll see in LDraw. I've gone about as far as I can go without putting two bricks together... I'm just not that good at building free-hand in virtual space.
That said, I did have quite a bit of fun tonight working on the locomotive's front end. The trailing truck is stolen from the old T1 design and will likely get modified even further than it already has.
I actually shortened the boiler by two studs. I compared her to photos of the real thing and the wheels just didn't line up with the longer boiler. Sadly she's FAR too tall compared to the prototype, but looking at her in this format she doesn't "look" too tall, so hopefully she won't "look" too tall in real bricks either.
Obviously a lot of details are missing, and a lot of the details between the boiler and wheels will change as well (or never exist in real bricks, since they're leftovers from the digital Mikado).
All in all I'm very pleased with how she's beginning to take shape. Still, I'm always happy to accept comments and criticism.
This is my completed Lego Millennium Falcon Moc. The pictures are not amazing, but hopefully they show off the model pretty well. I definitely took inspiration from Mike Psiaki's model, that he started a while ago. In total it took me about a year to complete it, with on again, off again progress. And sorry no interior.
Just an old long abandoned log cabin in the middle of nowhere in the Texas Hill Country. When I see stuff like this I always wonder what the story was behind the people who lived here and built this.

This scene is along US 58, leading from the east to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is about a mile before Lovers' Leap in Patrick County, Virginia. Lovers' Leap has an elevation of 2,861 feet (872 meters) so I assume this is close to that in height. The snow is a very early spring snow.

This Zinnia is growing in the raised garden bed, and although the number of Zinnias growing this year is less than previous years, they continue to offer some color in the back yard as well as some photo ops.
This is a little collage I made for the front of her proof book, I love how these images look together, the colors are so complimentary.
This mid-20th-century shop on Main St. in Roosevelt is now closed, but the company still operates in a location in Fort Collins, CO.
Everyday this flag goes up, every night she comes down. Sometimes she struggles to get up that old ratty homemade pole, catches here and there, but in the end she flies no matter what. And without question this old flag will keep doing just that.
And that's what matters.
On an off topic I think I have been awaken from my stink of a slump. It ceases to amaze me that during the initial phase of a new life chapter I tend to make misery of it. Well, I'm not throwing in the towel, not giving in to the incessant mental incapability of the world around me. A place called home is nothing more than what you make of where you stand.
And that's what matters.
Afghanistan. October 2010.
NOTE: Got about 10 Iraq images which will be posted in the next week or so. I have far too many that haven't seen light. There is no excuse for such thing.
This pair was found together in a stream. I put them together for this photo to show some of their color range. Hunan, China

This image by Duncan Rawlinson explores the intersection of photography and artificial intelligence, portraying a modern subject with an AI chip embedded in her head. Through innovative techniques, Rawlinson delves into the latent space, creating a compelling narrative of human augmentation and technological integration.
This photo shoot got a little out of hand :) Captured with my Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 Pancake lens, mounted on a Sony A7R II with a Fotodiox Auto ND Throttle.
This is the completed version of my animated movie 'The Heavenly Rider'. I worked really hard on this, so I hope you like it. Once again special thanks to reesfx.co.uk/ for their free sound effects and thanks to my friend Meep for providing the voice of the main character.

I'm planning the birthday party of my oldest child and the theme is....
I'm driving my boyfriend nuts with all the things i want to do and bought and buy ;) drawing all these circles was quite therapeutic in a way to NOT think of Alice because the little circles didn't let me think of the bigger picture all the time.. get it :P
Blueberry vegan pancakes with homemade blueberry syrup. Made from an organic ancient grains mix from Madhava (bought at Wegmans). The syrup consisted of a mix of small Maine blueberries and 1/4 cup of real maple syrup (Trader Joe's) microwaved .

This Volvo Olympian/Alexander RH is photographed here on Sir Thomas Street in Liverpool. The bus is unusually starting a 52A journey, which finishes on Glovers Lane in Netherton. I did this for the Process my photo (not better, just different) Group (Week 11))
This guy came up and asked me for a cigarette. I told him no since I don't smoke and he started talking to me. He told me he got beat up by Howard the Duck and he used to be a pro snowboarder. He also wanted me to watch out for the cops while he swigged his Vodka. Then he insisted I take a picture of him and struck this pose.
This is what my workspace looks like while I remodel my room. Basically this and the fact that my fucking detail brush splayed are the reasons why I haven't posted any customs as of late.
If you want try and play some "I spy" and see if you spot any suuuper top secret WIPs and un posted shit.

This picture is #1 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
I finally got up the nerve to start the 100 strangers project. I've been wanting to do it for months, but always had an excuse as to why I shouldn't start. Well, I started. And I plan on making it a regular thing.
Meet Dave and Susie Payne, whom I met at a beach along the Oregon Coast. I actually don't remember the name of the beach, or where it was, as I drove a lot of the coast that day.
Now, I am a very shy person. I'm not very good at talking to people I don't know. This is one of the reasons I was so intent on doing this project. I thought it would force me to get out of my comfort zone. I think the key thing is to not be self conscious. So what if people think you're strange? You're probably never going to see them again anyway.
So, I kind of just jumped right into this. And it just so happened that the first people I asked were more than willing to be a part of what I was doing. Remind me why I was so scared?
This lovely couple intrigued me with their stylish bikes and leather jackets. Despite the rough biker look, they were very warm and friendly :) It just goes to show that stereotypes are meaningless.
I can't describe the feeling I had after taking this. . .it gave me a much needed boost (I'd pulled an all nighter in order to get to the coast early, so I was quite tired.) Just doing something you never thought you could do makes you feel so good ;)
So, thank you Dave and Susie for not backing out when I told you that you were my first "victims" ;) I hope you see this!
This was sorta like an alt version of the clones one, since I finally had a real gun to play with...
Was listening to Nickelback's "This Afternoon" just sitting around, hanging out this afternoon, when I thought - Nah, the weather is too nice out there - so took the wife for a drive through the countryside to see if I could get something else other than seascapes at sunrise. ;-)
Ended up at Bald Mountain, not that it was bald as such - plenty of trees on the mountain, but that's the name so.... anyways, spotted this hill on the other side of the valley and just liked the colours and the shadows cast by the trees. Not a bad afternoon for a winters day - no dramatic clouds around mind you - has been cloudless the last week!
Great song by Nickelback though (well a nice beat anyway) and a pretty funny video clip. (if you are in to that sort of thing)

This is one end of Bugis Street in Singapore in 1966. Most of Bugis street was behind me when I took this photograph.
A street market by day, in the evening it became one long open air bar and restaurant. This must have been taken around 6pm before darkness fell, and long before the street theatre, colourful characters and drinkers thronged the street.
This was all demolished in 1985 as Singapore became a modern city, but such was the outcry, they were forced to build a new Bugis street, although by all accounts a sanitized shopping version. In Singapore now it would not be possible to have a street as politically incorrect or lively as the original Bugis Street.
