This is a beautiful species with thin flowers. In the begining the tube has a deep maroon but as time goes on it turns more yellow. During this whole time they smell like synthetic banana flavor.

This is the end of the unrestored section of the Great Wall of China. The restored end starts several kilometers to the north.

This replica Lockheed P-38 Lightning stands in the grounds of the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant, Miami and looks out across an aviation landscape of a very different era - that of today's Miami airport. This is a colour version of an image I posted earlier in b&w.

This is one of my favorite sights in Thunder Bay this past week. Very fun and whimsical, too bad some people choose to destroy the art work on display. This display has only been up since October 2011 and some morons have broken pieces off.

This semi-preserved commercial ERF lorry is the machine to tow the motor home next to it. However on the back of this ERF truck was an Gardner engine with a Bristol K bus radiator. Not sure why.
This was a great day. I went on a short photo drive this morning. This afternoon Bill & Rusty picked me up to drive to Rancho Mirage to meet Darek after work. We all had supper at The Old Spaghetti Factory and then went to Glow Park at the Living Desert Zoo. Bill & I rented scooters for the evening...they were fun and much better than doing a lot of walking.
This Papa Johns store has been open since the late 90s. The town's KFC was originally located on this lot but KFC built a new restaurant about half mile north of here near Walmart and Taco Bell in 1994. That building was demolished and this Papa Johns building was rebuilt on the foundation.
This aircraft is amazing. For a big helicopter it is so agile and what it does in displays is almost beyond belief.
This shot was not intentionally taken so deeply underexposed. The power of shooting RAW, along with an amazing editing program like Lightroom, is remarkable. The combination of the two completely saved this image!
