These fireworks were held over in NYC at the start of Fleet week and to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the battle of 1812.
One view of the area known as Time Square, New York City. This is an electrifying part of Manhattan to be seen for sure......don't forget this area on your next trip to NYC..:-)))
There's a few places of entry into New York City that give you that instant feeling of the hustle and bustle of the city. One of these is Grand Central. If you take a train/subway into the city and get off at Grand Central you walk out of the building onto the busy streets of New York. It's certainly a stir of feelings as you take in the lights, traffic, people on the streets and all of the buildings. I took this angle to the horizon as I think it adds to that impact of the moment.
A big part of this process of HDR is patience. I had to sit here for sometime and wait for a cab to pull up to the cab line. After the cab came to a complete stop, I had to snap 3 photos quick enough before it started rolling forward. I like to set my aperture at at least 5.6 but sometimes for these night shots I sometimes have to go down to 3.5 so the shutter doesn't have to stay open forever.
I plan on starting up a website of my own.... more of a blog than anything else but if anyone has any suggestions or advice with these it'd be much appreciated. I'm new to this website/blogging world.

So I thought that I would switch it up a bit today...ok, well maybe switch it up a lot, haha This is from our trip to New York last summer. I originally took a 7 exposure HDR...didn't like it...so then I processed just this shot...didn't like it...then I did a single RAW HDR from this file...eh....didn't like it. THEN I got Color Effex Pro, found this filter and thought holy crap this is freakin' COOL! haha
So here you go, presented in pseudo-IR. I think it came out pretty cool, a little psychadelic, but you have to keep people on their toes, don't want you guys getting bored! And I left the halo in there, thought it added to the effect!
Thanks for all of the support my friends!!

Taken during a walk through Hoboken, NJ, i really like how there were no cars in the road, and you can see the city in the background! Actually, there was a car coming behind me, and he wasn't too pleased that he had to wait while I stopped to get a picture!

I took this photo outside of the Majestic theater on Broadway. My sister-in-law, Brenda, my niece and I were privileged to be able to go and see this amazing play. I've seen it twice now and would love to see it again. This brilliant play should be something that everyone is able to experience at least once in their life.
I love all forms of the Phantom of the Opera!!! And in my humble opinion, I feel that Gerard Butler did a fantastic job in the movie!! I know that many felt that he was a "weak Phantom" but I didn't think so!! The movie was phenomenally similar to the play and I LOVED it as well!!
Here is the trailer for this amazing movie!! If you haven't seen it you should!! It is magnificent! (If you like this type of thing!! ^_^)
Ok, I really need to buckle down and study for my biology test tomorrow... I'll try to get back on sometime soon!! Take care my friends!! And thank you all for your support!!

One major reason I was glad to endure a week of minus ten degrees was that I could see in abundance the steam rising from the New York streets, in this case out of a steam funnel instead from a manhole cover. The steam in New York has always fascinated me and to see it in this scene with so many iconic New York cabs was a real treat and bonus.
